Esmirelda is from (yikes!help!)Washington, DC. She has graced such lovely performance halls as the 14th Street Bathhouse to The Lincoln Memorial; shared the bill with everyone from GWAR to Badfinger.
In 1996, Esmirelda sang the title tune for the motion picture "Headless Body in a Topless Bar".
Esmirelda sees two Billboard awards for songwriting adorning her livingroom wall.
Oh, and Get Fancy Magazine called Esmirelda "a fruity-assed mad genius"...

So many great songs on this CD I don't know where to start but one of my favorites is WHY CAN'T YOU BE LIKE OTHER GIRLS...indeed Ezmo, we are glad you are not! She is a true original! She makes Ani De Franco seem like kindergarden songs!
