notes
Feathergun is a melodic rock band. Blending elements from classic rock bands and previous jobs, these gentlemen have left their respective cubicles to serve up a tasty helping of hooks. Musical comparisons include Cheap Trick, Weezer and Foo Fighters, with vocal styling reminiscent of Lenny Kravitz and Elvis Costello. Yet all comparisons fall short to embody the true essence of Feathergun. Feathergun introduces the terms 'Cubicle Rock' and 'Power Point Pop' to describe it's unique sound, inspired by their days spent working in the corporate world. With a groove this janky and a style so catchy, the Gun is sure to make you smile all the while.
Sam Lewis, a Chicago native, moved to Los Angeles with a pocket full of sugar sweet pop numbers and a pair of beach sandals. This ex-drummer gone guitarist/vocalist claims it was time to step to the front lines and deliver the rock. Catch Feathergun live for an experience you will surely not forget...
Feathergun are one of the hardest working bands out there, hitting the club scene hard since self-releasing their full length record "Music to Wash to". Feathergun have shared the stage with touring acts such as Copperpot, Stonecake, Admiral Twin, Hellride (Mike Watt, Stephen Perkins, Peter DiStefano), Wonderlove, the Serotonins, Stereo360, the Dollyrots, Piper Downs and Stickfigure (Jack McDowell).
Recent accomplishments:
*MTV licensing deal featuring Feathergun songs in popular MTV/VH1 programs
*WFLD-TV FOX Morning News performance to millions of Chicagoland viewers
*Winner's of the KROQ/Surfrider Foundation 'Battle for da Beach' at the Viper Room
*"Rock in a Hard Place" full page spread in January '04 issue of Hustler magazine
*Named one of the top 50 unsigned bands by Dick Clark and CMJ
*Sponsorship with Electro Harmonix

LOVE IT, LOVE IT, LOVE IT!!!!
author: nutmegThis CD is even better than I had hoped for!!!! We saw Feathergun live in concert with Copperpot (in St. George, Utah of all places) and I just had to get the CD. It is one of my favorites...a most definate MUST have.
Catchy as all get out!
author: MorrisIf you aren't humming Saw Your Thong at work tomorrow, you were distracted while the CD spun. Know how so much music is continual 1/4 notes and whole notes over-layered and produced into a soundwall indescernable from so many other soundwalls? Well not Music to Wash To! Triplets, Paradiddles, and catchy one-off riffs that POP out from the track, with proper breaks and rests circa de Beatles. Plus, Sam is hot!
If you don't like Feathergun, you don't like sunny days.
author: djhartThis album wakes you up before you go-go. It's straight-ahead rock in a bubble-gum wrapper. It's fresh pop glazed with glam. There's nothing alternative about it. If you want to be depressed, don't listen to it.
rare kind of CD: every song is great! I've let it play continuously in my car
author: Michael Liskin, Annenberg School for CommunicationListen, there are precious few CD's out there right now that have originality, melodic wit, and playfulness. This album has it all. I highly recommend this CD both for people who like catchy melodies AND for people who like alternative --> That's also very rare to find in one CD. EVERY SONG IS GREAT in this album. I have played it over and over again, and I'm not tired of it at all -- believe me, I'm a discriminating guy when it comes to music, so when I say something like this, it's time to give it a listen! They've distilled the best essence of Ben Folds, Jellyfish, and Urge Overkill, then they've taken things to the post-millenial next step and added a playful charm that 99.99% of bands wish they had.
Spamtastic
author: ZensRevengeHow awesome of a CD can you get. 11 songs of pure unadulterated fun. This cd has more good hits packed into it than a friday night fight on HBO. I'm not kidding people. Lover is a soft cuddler that makes you want to dance the night away with that special someone. Not to mention hits like Feathergun, Major Mood, Disillusion, which all have me screaming "more feathergun more!!"
Amazing rock melody
author: JaimeMusic to Wash to is the kind of CD you can keep in your stereo for weeks at a time. Each song either catches you immediately and has you singing along or grows on you until you can feel it throughout your entire body. I can't wait for the next album.
Nice work
author: Mike FFor an indy disc these guys really went and did it right. From the uptempo "Major Mood", to the contemplation of "lover" and "living without" this is a solid album.
Funky Grooves for Major Moods
author: Steve PulsonI like to get on and review CDs on cdbaby.com and I have to say this CD is one of my favorites. The songs are candy to the ear. Music To Wash To is clean fun and a feel good rocking fun time. Watch out for these up and comers as they blow up on the main stream.
Fabulous CD - would appeal to all tastes of music!
author: Angela R.Classic rock with a modern edge....what more could a girl ask for! Definitely something I could listen to all day!
