notes
The Femurs are from New York City and currently live in Seattle.
The Femurs are Rob Femur
He is sometimes joined by others. Rob is most recently playing as a one man punk rock/ doo wop band with guitar and drums.
The femurs sound is similar to Ramones meets jonathan richman with a folk-punk sound.
Femurs have 3 records: The first record is a self titled 16 song rawk and rowl opus of lost love and dreams of having enough money to buy a car
The second album from The Femurs is called: Jack Cafferty Vs. Chuck Scarborough. (named after their favorite NYC news anchormen) put out on Seattle’s Homespun Records. The album is a six song ep that remains true to their upbeat acoustic folk-punk sound.
The Third CD just came out in 2007 called "Modern Mexico" which can be found and ordered by going to: www.cdbaby.com
Femurs are working on a new album that will be out early 2009
The Femurs really love you and want to be your friend.....so keep that in mind.....GABBA GABBA HEY

REVIEWS:
--
" It always annoys me when a one man band has a plural name; such is the case with the Femurs. But usually what annoys me more about solo performers is they're usually really boring. That's not the case with the Femurs' CD, which is packed with 21 acoustic and electronic songs that range from pop punk to indie rock. One guy, Rob Schaeffer, plays everything. He layers in guitars, drums and multiple vocal tracks, giving the music a full sound. It's catchy, low-fi and fun. " Tablet Newspaper (Seattle)

I promise you'll love it..
author: TinyIf you're thinking about buying this (which you most likely are if you are reading the reviews), think no longer. DO IT! DO IT NOW! The whole album is super catchy. It didn't take me very long to get into just about every song on this CD. You still have doubts? Don't. I promise you, this is a wise investment.

author: NateThis is a great albumn. I did not give it the full five stars because it is not as good as some of thier other albums, but it is still super solid. It is the perfect mix of acoustic and electric down-stroking with great harmonies. A different song gets stuck in my head everday.
Buy this album now.
author: EGood, honest, straight-up rock/pop tunes. Drawing from many influences across the rock n' roll spectrum, this album works for everything from road trips to knockin' back beers on the patio.
I found you by looking up my name and you turned out to be awsome!
author: AllisonI was really bored one night and i looked up my name in the itunes music store and it came up with a whole list of stuff and i listened to the song"Allison" then to the rest of them , and i loved it! so i bought the cd the next day! i think this is an awsome cd and i would recomend it to anyone!
Just wonderful.
author: JennyThis CD is fantastic, fantastic, fantastic. Definitely one of my top ten, probably for all time - I've listened through the whole thing I don't know how many times, all the tracks are that good. There's a definite variety here - from folk-like, to pop-ish, to a Ramones-esque punk vibe. There's no reason whatsoever to be dissastisfied with this CD - it's brilliant!
sooo gooood
author: alyssathis cd is so awesome. its very upbeat but at the same time not too poppy. i really enjoy it and theres almost nothing like it on the market right now! i really want to see them live
Bright eyes don't mean anything to me
author: LaceyWhat an awesome CD! I listen to it all the time still! I wish I could see him live. I love 4 songs on this CD.
Great hooks; interesting harmonies; like a song cycle
author: The SummitVery engaging debut effort, with the entire album as a whole telling the story of a love gone bad, a scarred (not broken) heart, and then redemption in a new, more fulfilling relationship. The songs themselves range from Ramones-like rockers to folky acoustic numbers (sometimes we get the same song with different treatments). The musical hooks are compelling and the vocal harmonies support the romantic theme of the piece. Can't wait to hear more from The Femurs.
great music. You made me smile
author: Jessica Laydergreat music! The songs are catchy and they made me smile. Good Job!

author: Ben Fosterthis is real refreshing music. sounds like the ramones but has its own personality in it too. each song is a toe tapper and each song stays in your head....get out of my head...ah the femurs
