notes
In the fall of 2003, amidst a plague of pop-punk and power-pop bands, Fifty Fifty exploded onto the Seattle scene with a vengeance. A powerful five piece including:
The mind melting, uncontested guitar playing of Mike Hendrickson;
The lightning-fast, trance inducing, raw power of Kevin Johnson on drums;
The bladder busting bass lines of Erik Castle, known to make the local punk kids shit their pants;
The spine tingling, gut wrenching guitar rifts of Myles DeRossi;
And finally, lyrics that set fire to the souls of man unearthed by Ryan Schlemmer.
These fine skate punk heroes have been playing their unique brand of So Cal punk in Seattle for only a year and have already had an irreversible effect on Seattle. One that will echo in eternity as some of the finest damn punk this country has ever seen. People often ask, "How do they do it?" The answer? It's what they were born to do!
