Forgotten Sol is a delicious blend of soul, hip-hop, latin and blues with a message so honest and passionate you feel it first and then think about it.
Formed in 2001 by vocalist Cristina Orbé and guitarist Dan Moore, they've now expanded to a 5 piece band with drummer Chris Stromquist, bassist Justin Cayou and 2nd vocalist SoulChilde (aka ókànomodé).
The new album is filled with rich harmonies danceable grooves, but one thing has stayed the same over the years
- the goal to fuse socially relevant messages with incredible songs.
The combination of their unique styles and raw delivery has attracted an ever growing fan base and pushed them to play larger venues including the Northwest's biggest music festival: Bumbershoot.
Forgotten SOL has performed at: NW FolkLife Festival, Bumbershoot, Seattle's Town Hall, Tractor Tavern, EarthFair, Chop Suey, Music in the Mountains, Crocodile Cafe and much much more.
They have played LIVE on: Sonarchy Radio on 90.3 KEXP and the Daily Planet on 91.3 KBCS.
