This is not a retro rock effort, but one cannot help thinking of Beatles, Fleetwood Mac, Neil Young, Carole King and Bonnie Raitt as a short list of influences here.

notes

Fragilistic is a rare treat! Not your trendy fad of the day, this music is of the kind that lives on forever. This CD traverses a lot of territory, but is bound together by an emphasis on strong melodies and top-notch craftsmanship. This is not a retro rock effort, but one cannot help thinking of Beatles, Fleetwood Mac, Neil Young, Carole King and Bonnie Raitt as a short list of influences here.

Reviewer Mike Pope writes:
"From the opening track "Rocket Ship" you are taken on a ride that seems to contain influences from the top acts of the 60's and 70's. It's almost like all of your favorite artists of that era got together for a week-long studio jam and this CD is the cream."

Beware! This is not a CD where all the songs sound the same. Fragilistic turns a lot of corners, and contains a smorgasbord of musical surprises and effects. Hop around and check it out! There's bound to be something for everyone here.

Fragilistic is a collaboration of Colette Gschwind and Larry Galletta with some very special guests including Al Moss from "Hillbilly Idol", and Rob Luoma from "Crooked Mile".

This is one CD that cannot be judged by listening to quick samples of one or two songs. Dig in! It's a fun but winding ride to the very end.

  • Fragilistic

One of my favorite acquisitions from CDBaby!Love it,Love it,Love it!

  • Sonic Sanctuary
    author: Rard

The musical diversity is incredible. There is an absolute meat and tatr middle groove to each song dressed in heavy melodies and laced with tasteful sonic textures that will captivate. One of the few artist that continually delivers a mello yet edgy vibe in every pass. Colette's voc's are both bold and beautiful. Thanks Larry for the musical experience.

  • Very cool.

What can I say with my humble typing skills ? - just a beauty collection of pop-ola - folk-ola - rock-ola - brilliant songwriting from too very gifted people - to pic a fave track would be unjust - truly - thanks for the great tunes Larry & Colette - cheers Alex Stangl

  • ...a rich palette
    author: John Havlicek

Larry and Collette draw from a rich palette of colors on this CD. It would be far too easy (and superficial) to think of Fragilistic in terms of the 70's...but this kind of melody-driven pop is too rare today. Collette's voice is an impressive instrument that could put her "up there". Between the both of them, they've created a diverse and (seemingly contradictorily)cohesive tapestry. If you like easy, melodic and evocative...then you're bound to be happy with this CD. It's all good! -john

  • An "E-Ticket Ride"...(A++)
    author: Mike Pope (WF Studios)

From the opening track "Rocket Ship" you are taken on a ride that seems to contain influences from the top acts of the 60's and 70's. It's almost like all of your favorite artists of that era got together for a week-long studio jam and this CD is the cream. A fantastic first-effort from this indie group, with production touches that will keep even critical listeners on their toes. Try it...you'll like it.
