notes
George1948 is an ex bass player living in Manchester, Great Britain. ......
A musician since the 60's, now afflicted with Lou Gerhigs disease, George is unable to play his instrument of choice and has turned his talents to creating music on the computer. ........
.George loves music and derives great pleasure from this new form of creativity, as do the many fans that have begun listening to him. Unfortunately at the beginning of February/02 we learned that George lost mobility in the one remaining moving finger, which meant that he was unable to access his music software. ........
In an effort to raise funds to help purchase a device that could be used hands free to access the music software, a bunch of artists at a now defunct site, put together a 2-cd set. We were able to sell come copies and the money was sent to George.
Shortly after that, some of the AcidPlanet artists put together a compilation CD.This compilation was called the Reach Project. ... However ......as is often the case with projects, this one took forever to get organized, and although we got as far as to master the CD, we were thwarted as to where we could place it for selling (We didn't think of CDBaby at the time ....) .
Meanwhile, we had collected together all of George's own material, and complied that into a CD, which we mastered and sent to George. Finally, we got it together and now we have it here at CDBaby ready for you to buy. The proceeds from all sales will be sent to George.

Really good album ......
author: Louise PeacockThis album is a testament to the talent and courage of George1948. Each piece on this CD is different, and George's great attention to detail and the care that he took to create each piece, shines through. I enjoy all the cuts, and I will always be indebted to George for the beautiful job he did on Raindrops, which is a re-mix of one of my own songs. Rock on George!
