  • i can't imagine a more beautiful record of the times

The very first time that I listened to this record I cried. I think that's enough to indicate that it is a heartbreakingly beautiful piece and that I HIGHLY recomend it. It's georgeous.

  • Random discovery Voice Angel Depressed Love
    author: Big Stevie

A random dicovery. 20 seconds into Am I Allowed and I was hooked. The voice of a seriously depressed angel. Car Wreck stands out - a wonderful song. Everyone should have the chance to hear this record.

  • Haley is gorgeous! I would recommend her to anyone!

This cd sets an awesome mode for chill and mellow. Her voice is smooth and rich in sound, and there is high musical quality to her chord structures and instrumentals. The Size of Planets is an excellen representation of Haley's vocal and musical talents. I would recommend this to anyone!

  • great buy
    author: katie -boston

this is a truly solid CD. she has an amazing voice and her lyrics (and her emotion) are powerful. not a single song you need to skip and it's right for just about any mood. there are many alcohol references, however, for someone who might not even be of age to drink.

  • haunting and melancholy--that's a good thing!
    author: Julie

I saw Haley perform one song with Mason Jennings a YEAR ago and kept her name in my head...I finally bought this CD two weeks ago and it has been playing nonstop in the car, at home, in my head. "Am I Allowed" and "Car Wreck" were the only ones I listened to at first, but I quickly came to love the rest of the album as well. "Sun Don't Shine" is my latest favorite track. The songs are indeed sometimes haunting and always a bit melancholy, and yet it makes me feel so happy and peaceful when I hear it. This is a must-own album--buy it now!

  • Crushingly beautiful
    author: Katie

I am addicted to this CD. Even when I try listening to other music, the strains of these songs keep running through my head. It makes me want to sit alone on a swing with my feet in the dirt right before the first stars come out at night.

  • Different, haunting
    author: Sydney

I downloaded a few Haley Bonar MP3s from hive3.com which inspired me to come here and buy the album. The tracks on this CD were different than the MP3s I had heard -- more folk, less blues -- but I still love the album. I hope to hear from from the talented Ms. Bonar soon!

  • Her voice is Earthy, Soulful, and Lovely.
    author: Sarah

I bought the cd based on "Am I Allowed" which I had heard on Emerson College's CoffeeHouse (88.3). Hearing the rest of the cd made me so very happy with my purchase.

  • lovely voice, superb songwriting, very talented

My girlfriend borrowed me her copy of the C.D. and I had to have one myself my husband ordered it for and anniversary gift. I love the whole disc. Extremely impressed with vocals and songwriting...waiting for more to come...

  • c'est tres bon
    author: humble fan

Despite many reviews which compare and contrast this artist to many other artists of the female persuasion, i suggest one give it a listen to realize that she is truly in her own league. the songs are accomplished and beautiful, simple and sweet. try 'am i allowed' and 'car wreck'. thanks haley!
