The band guides its audience through a myriad of rock-n-roll, blues, soul, and funk with a good dose of humor and modern sensibility, the band's musical influences - from Jimi Hendrix to Ben Folds, from Stevie Wonder to The Clash - are easy to identify.

notes
DC Area's HoneyLamb is the very spirit of rock, funk and blues, with engaging melodies and guitar solos that will remind you of the classics.
A HoneyLamb show is a refreshing change for those tired of the humid modern alterna-pop sound. As the band guides its audience through a myriad of rock-n-roll, blues, soul, and funk with a good dose of humor and modern sensibility, the band's musical influences -- from Jimi Hendrix to Ben Folds, from Stevie Wonder to The Clash - are easy to identify.
HoneyLamb took its first tentative steps several years ago as a collaboration among singer Julie Atlas and lead guitartist Mike Atlas and their friend and bassist Tom Marsh. They recruited drummer Vince Forcier and keyboardist Erik Velapoldi just over a year ago to fill out the present HoneyLamb lineup.

Good music not another P.O.S.
author: Alex KuhlmanThe songs are powerfull, and sharp. The notes crisp and clean. I highly recommend, if you want something that stands out amongst the flock.
Looking for something different? Check out HoneyLamb!
author: Eric DempseyThis CD sounds different and I like it. They dont sound like the tortured singer/songwriter stuff, and they arent a Vanessa Carlton/ Avril Lavigne clone either, just good groove based rock and roll. Their singer has great vocal presence on these songs. I would love to hear more and see them live. Check out HoneyLamb! You wont be disappointed!
Engaging melodies and soulful emotion
author: Ari HerzogI like buying new albums by artists I've never heard. Sometimes its the name and sometimes its the audio samples. In this case, it was both. Honey Lamb is able to masterfully combine engaging melodies with soulful emotion. The lyrics match the beat and the words sound down-to-earth although sometimes it is hard to hear the words (and I wish they included liner notes for this purpose). With five songs on the CD, Honey Lamb is able to showcase their musical ability and what their limits are and they pull it off. For a debut performance, they have my vote and if I ever decide to drive down from Boston to DC, I'll be sure to see them perform live.
