"i like pie" started out as a solo project while Bud Bennett was taking a break from his band Trespassers Will. Soon though, the project took on a life of it's own and players from several other bands expressed interest in playing the songs on this CD. On the CD we have players who's musical styles represent hard rock, psychedelic, americana, funk and country blues. They all meld together to form the "i like pie sound".
Each song on this CD tells a story, or part of a story and the players were given free reign to help tell the story through their playing. While this may not be the most polished studio effort in the world, listening to this will take you on the journey it describes. From start to finish, you'll feel joy, sorrow, despair and victory and walk away with a head full of images and ideas that will stick with you for a long long time.

Americana at it's Best

The beaty harmonies and well crafted talent of this artist is one that measures the worthiness of any artist of any genre. It's rare we see folk, rock, pop and americana mixed and blended so nicely into one. This CD is truely a work of art and a prize posession of any music fanatic. Get it and tell me I'm lying!!!!

This is a great CD and well worth a buy!!.. The lyrics are, in some way magical and uplifting along with the music!.... I owe a great deal to this Artist and the I Like Pie CD..........

The freedom of innocence shines through on the opening song, "First Flight on Gossamer Wings". We travel through a gamut of emotions - truth, realization, love, despair, disillusionment, wonder ... - concluding with the triumph of "Mesa". The songs are masterfully written, particularly lyrically ... each one painting its own picture of where it sits in the timeline of the singer's growth. It's rare to find just the right combination of moving lyrics and music ... the power of harmony is heard throughout; touching orchestrations, combined with the emotions that pour out of Bud Bennett's voice with his every word ... this collection of music just floors me, at times bringing me to tears. It's quite a strong word and shouldn't be used lightly, but it most certainly applies here. i like pie is a masterpiece.
