Acoustic Delta Blues

I've been playing professionally for over 23 years. I've played it all, from rock to jazz to experimental, punk and now blues. I have studied the blues greats such as Bukka White, John Lee Hooker, Robert Johnson, Elmore James, Mississippi Fred McDowell, Son House and others in an effort to become a traditional country blues master. Country blues is not your typical polished B.B. King or Bobby Blue Bland Chicago blues. It's the raw, funky, minimal sounds of the 20's and 30's. I also double on blues harp while playing acoustic and electric guitar. There are no other instruments, it' s just 'me and my harp'.

    While he's not Robert Johnson, he's the closest thing I've heard lately! For a red-headed German guy he's definitely got soul!!

    Authentic acoustic blues that remind me of Son House or maybe Fred McDowell. Lots of melodies and slide and even some juicy blues harp keep this set of instrumentals fresh and always rockin'. Plenty of originals as well as classics and lots of chords and notes to sink your teeth into, but not overly busy. Well done!
