Some tracks stronger than others, but excellent mix of music genres. You can feel the enthusiasm put into each song, and Dena Carrol's unmistakable vocals are a wonderful addition to "Count On Me."

With a fine voice and a batch of well written songs, the only thing Clark could have messed up was the instrumentation. That would not have been hard - this was not some limitless budget major label effort. Whatever money Clark invested in this project, however, was exactly the right amount, down to the penny. Count On Me has a great sound that sounds better than most modern R&B recordings from major labels. In short, Clark not only didn't mess up, he surpassed expectations. Count On Me list twenty-four musicians in addition to Clark and it's the spark they generate while playing that makes the songs come to life. Clark provided the material and the voice, the players inspired the playing, and the result was one fine R&B recording. Count on it.
