"Years Apart" is John Macdonald's 50th Album release and includes some of his most requested numbers from his Live Performances.
John Macdonald is a Scots born /Australian based Accordionist/Entertainer.His albums have sold more than any other Accordionist in Australasia, resulting in many Gold Album Awards.
Included on this CD is some of his most popular Accordion Scottish and Irish selections ...along with a haunting verson of Lift the Wings ( from River Dance ) Highland Cathedral, Loch Duich and Mist Covered Mountains of Home.
He also gives us his own interpertations of French Mussettes .....Bourassque and Reine De Mussette...along with Swiss Polka..and a couple of classic versions of Tritsch Tratsch Polka, and Under the Double Eagle.
Over the years John"s Albums have had great success, not only in Australia and New Zealand, but with releases in the U.K. and America.

This recording is very diverse, covers a wide spectre of styles and would be appealing to a wide audience. Sound production is of a superb quality and masterly done. John uses his midi devices expertly and to the full extent. Musically, this whole recording is "on high" - easy listening, "happy" tunes and toe tappers. John has built (over the years) his very individual performing style: technically sound, he performs with a lot of charm. To see his Live Show is quite an experience too.
