A mighty jazz guitar album. The music is a tantalizing blend of smooth and be-bop guitar styles served over warm R&B beats and "widescreen" orchestral back-drops.

What do BBC Television, The Weather Channel and scores of broadcast, internet and satellite radio stations have in common?
The answer is simple. They've all been delighted to present their viewers and listeners with tracks from jazz guitarist Jon Dalton's acclaimed urban/jazz CD "The Gift".
The CD blends traditional mellow jazz guitar tones with smooth R&B beats and rich orchestral backdrops. The result is a recording that satisfies in the way that classic albums always did and newer releases seldom do.
The title track "The Gift" has been a favourite among broadcasters and reached #1 on the CIM Smooth Jazz listener chart and Jon's tracks have been played over a million times in online and business distribution.
This is no one-track-wonder, every cut tells it's own special story.
Jon doesn't just play the guitar, he takes you on a soaring journey through the emotions of time and space.
TheJazzNation.com called this beautiful recording: "Truly a gift from the heart." and guitarsite.com asked: "Could this be a new genre classic?".
Why not order your own copy and join the thousands of people who have already tuned into Jon's unique music.

Excellent musicianship across artist's own compilations
author: Keith MartinSomething went wrong with the review I've already submitted. This really is "five star jazz" Don't believe me? Buy a copy, sit in your favourite chair, get yourself a glass of wine and listen to "Napoli." You get one of those "life's pretty good" feelings by the end of this excellent track. The rest of the CD? If your wine's lousy, the music's so good that you won't notice.
Ten original compositions, beutifully played
author: Keith MartinLovely musicianship, ten original compositions, ranging from the funky "Champosium", to the tender, mellow "Napoli."
For all guitar fans: this album is an essential guitar album. Don't miss it.
author: HBHSome songs have their own history. Such a song is "The Gift". No, I don't mean the same-tune of Larry Carlton. It's a special flair and mood which is conjured by a hooking melody. The melodic line is burned into your brain and you will never forget this melody again. Such a melody is "The Gift" by Jon Dalton. Strong material combining the warm tones of traditional jazz guitar phrasing aga
author: Ted VieiraJon Dalton's CD, The Gift, is a fantastic and unique collection of well written compositions and wonderful guitar playing that provides a very fresh sound in contemporary jazz. The material is strong and sophisticated, yet still very accessible. The music is relaxing and inspiring. I've always been a firm believer in the thought that a guitarists sound comes from his hands. Jon has an amazing touch and his sound is warm and full. His phrasing represents the best in the tradition of jazz guitar. I highly recommend this CD, The Gift, without qualification. - Ted Vieira, Jazz Guitarist, www.TedVieira.com
