I hope that you hear the inclusiveness in "The Colors of Love." Not only in the variety of voices and instruments, but in the variety of love and life. Moms singing to their kids on their wedding day (A Wedding Lullaby.) A pastor singing to her confirmands and friends (I Know the Plans I have for you, from Jeremiah 29:11.) A church singing a welcome song to an infant being baptized (A Church's Baptism Song.) A gay couple singing a love song for their Holy Union (On My Honor.) There is even a song about the Worcester FIRE where 6 men died saving others (Warehouse of Mercy.) It is fitting that, after such a weaving of variety, the CD will end with the children's voices of Hadwen Park Congregational Church, UCC, Worcester, Mass, singing (THIS LITTLE LIGHT OF MINE!) I hope you laugh with me at being "Still Single at Christmas!" I hope that you get just a bit teary eyed when I sing to my daughter and her hubby on their wedding day or to my confirmation class. I pray that you find challenge and tenderness and melancholy in the call of the Gospel of Jesus Christ -- to welcome all -- and to COME TO THE PARTY!--- to dance with AMAZING GRACE!
Enjoy,
Judy Hanlon, singer, songwriter, pianist and pastor

A passionate, moving integration of gospel sound and justice concerns.
author: Denny"the colors of love" reaches into my memories of old time gospel music and fuses them to contemporary issues of justice and inclusivity. It is irresistable to me because it does not preach at me, but musically and lyrically draws me into a celebration of grace in the midst of life.
I can't stop listening to this CD, it is POWERFULL
author: LorettaI have 2 of these CD's "The Colors of Grace" I even copied it on to a tape so I can listen to it in my car. I'm Addicted to it. The words are so powerful, in "On My Honor " and "For These Tears I've Died". I honestly listen to this CD at the least 3 time each day.. You have to hear these songs!!!!! I think you will agree.
Thank you! - from those of us who are skeptical of "religious" products
author: LoriThis is such a wonderful compilation of songs that speak to anyone's/everyone's soul. I'm always leary of things that have a religious background, but this does nothing other than celebrate ALL aspects of life, regardless of what society may say. Thank you!
