notes
Judy Lewis has been described by the international press as, “a rare phenomenon”, and “no clone of anybody else”.
Her last album, “No Expectations” (VIR 2004) was ranked #6 in the Critic’s Choice Top Ten Jazz Albums of the Year in Jazztimes.
On this, her 5th release, Judy Lewis introduces the world to 18 year old blind guitar virtuoso Orr Didi with 9 original tracks of cutting edge progressive jazz music and a stunning cover of the REM classic, “Everbody Hurts”.
Each with their own distinctive and eclectic style, Judy and Orr create a uniquely new sound in the duo genre, one that creates layers of interweaving melodies and completely exploits the possibilities of this exciting combination of instruments. Moving freely between delicately intimate ballads and wild rhythmic pandemonium, this album is sure to stop your breath at least a few times! And don’t miss the bonus track: video footage of a live show and a behind the scenes interview with the duo!

Orr is a major artist. One of the best albums on release.
author: davidjdJudy Lewis is streets ahead of contemporary keyboardists. Imaginative, superbly musical-with enormous intelligence. Orr Didi surely must take his place in jazz history-like Django. davidjd entertainment reporter Melbourne Australia
We are loving your album(s)
author: Hannah and Asher BlachmanWe are enjoying the piano and guitar playing. Good balance between the intense parts and the more soothing, relaxed parts.
Enjoyed it, easy to listen to
author: Charles DevereuxThese two go well together and I find that I am playing this CD a lot both in the car and at home.My congratulations I hope they make another CD together soon
This is the best chill-out music I've heard for a long long time. Brilliant!!
author: Jack-in-the-GreenI bought this CD on the strength of one track caught on Woman's Hour on BBC Radio4 one morning. The other tracks don't disappoint and are of equal standard. Inspired composition and performance from two very compatible musicians produces ten superb jazz melodies of top quality. Their virtuoso playing never jars as often happens when jazz musicians are let loose. I play it over and over again. It deserves a much wider audience.
