The process of interviewing and talking to the elders has inspired me to write original songs that compliments their stories. her inner beauty comes out through her music

From the pop of Cyndi Lauper to the Hoagy Carmichael standard, it's apparent that the artist is comfortable with not only the lyrics but with herself. I just saw her live at the Paradise Cafe in Pittsburgh, PA. and every song was as good as the cd.

The CD opens with an Isley Brothers hit from the Old School, For The Love of You, a song that you don't hear much but one that is deserving of frequent listening especially the way Jus Cynthia conveys the beauty of the melody and the lyrics surrounded by the lush Lucien arrangement. From this musically strong opening, Jus Cytnthia glides through nine more selections including the standard, Nearness of You and three of her original compositions. All of the songs have something special to commend them and all are worth hearing again and again.
