notes

They say that you have your whole life to write your first album, and that doesn’t seem to be far from truth for Indianapolis native, Justin Branam. His debut full length album, ‘Words Worth Mentioning,’ features songs written from age sixteen to his current age of twenty one, showcasing a rich mixture of child-like energy with the maturity of an adult in the making.

In March, 2006, Branam left his home in the Circle City and headed to Nashville, TN to begin recording his debut with producer Andrew Osenga of the band Caedmon’s Call. Together they began to put together an all star cast that comprised of some of Nashville’s top musicians, even including members of the multi Grammy Award winning band, Jars of Clay. Turning their cheeks to the trend of over-production that plagues many modern albums, ‘Words Worth Mentioning,’ is an honest attempt to showcase raw talent recorded in the time frame of five days and often times with only a few takes.

Although, only now releasing a freshman album, Justin Branam is no stranger to the road. Branam built his foundation by joining acts on the road such as Mat Kearney, Blessid Union of Souls, Matt Wertz, Dave Barnes, Andy Davis, Mute Math, John Butler Trio, and others where he has gained a loyal following. This fall, Branam will continue to do what got his feet off the ground. Watch for him in a city near you.

Words Worth Mentioning is a new refreshing piece of music that speaks of life, love, and faith. The folky backgrounds give style and a bit of fun to the cd. Dear to Me is definately one of my favorites, speaking of God holding us dear to Him. Everyone should have a copy of this cd, it's fun, serious, and speaks of life experiences that are so personal yet we can all relate to each song. Good job Justin!

I love this cd. It is one of those albums that is good all the way from start to finish and I listen to it daily. The music is chill, easy-listening, and calm. Honestly, it helps clear my head and allows me to think. Not only that but the lyrics are great. Basically, I love words worth mentioning and you would be crazy not to buy it. Its feel good music.

I didnt know if i should put 5? He's worth it. but uh thats pretty cliche. Justin's style is amazing. He is his own person! He's not the "scene" .... his music puts me to sleep (in a good way :] ) I can just sit down and listen to "you never know" and the one he sang to his friend that had cancer.. can't remember the name. Overall, great music! way to be different
