notes
'. . .aside from her God-given talent, Katie is separated from the rest with her distinctive sound and insatiable passion to succeed."
-Philip Towle, Performance Enhancement coach for Metallica
Soulful, Sentient Rock best describes her sound. The band consists of Josh Stevens on Lead Guitars, Nathan Hoehner on Bass, Lee Smith on Drums, and Katie on Vocals, Piano and Guitar. Together they compliment her passionate songwriting through electric performances on both the album and stage.
'. . .one of the most dynamic and exciting live performers with great hooks
and a tight band'
-Jeff Irving, Talent Buyer for 19 Broadway Night Club
'In the tradition of indie singing/songwriting rock n roll ladies like Ani Di Franco, Tori Amos and Liz Phair, Katie Knipp is hot and so is her kick ass band.'
-Lynn, Grynn Mulitmedia
'. . .Katie Knipp is another chick with a guitar strapped to her wailing into a microphone, except she is really, really good. Quite a range on her pipes.'
-Gene Mahoney, San Francisco Herald
'Keep a lookout for her. Katie Knipp. She's got a voice that'll knock your head off. With love.'
-Going Out
'Katie's dynamite on both piano and guitar.'
-Matt Kramer, Pacific Sun
'. . .if you've never seen Katie Knipp perform, you're in for a real treat. One of my favorite bands.'
-Chris Lommori, Lommori Productions

You CLEARLY Rock Katie!
author: James ConneryKatie, Having grown in the Woodside area as a child, around the likes of Joan Biez, Arlo Guthrie, Mimi Farina, The Dead and many others and later working in the industry, I am blown away and amazed at YOUR TALENT! Finally some REAL TALENT! You ROCK! The KM guys turned me on to this (: James
Katie Totally Rocks and Means Every Word!!
author: Charles DeCraeneKatie and the band give their all and mean every note. I didn't want to play a different album for more than two months and you won't either. This is a must-have CD for any fan of womyn vocalists. Her vocal pyrotechnics will blow you away. It is all egoless, all about what makes each song great. Katie takes vocal music to undreamt-of new highs!

wow!! katie knipp live is hot!! she is a fantastic performer!
author: mary morgan, events managerTake her down is a great c.d. Katie's voice is strong and sexy! Katie is inspirational for all female rockers! Her original songwriting and talent on guitar and piano are amazing! Seeing her perform on stage is magic!
Katie Knipp gets my vote for most powerful new female vocalist.
author: Bryan LloydKatie knipp has managed to write one of those songs that are so good that I have to designate a special time and place to listen to it. There are less than ten of those songs ever written. Hers is the title track from Take Her Down. It is so raw and powerful that anything else seems irrelevant.
Katie Knipp . . . You gotta believe in this chick!
author: Lee ArnoldAfter plowing through so much crappola on typical FM Rock stations, I was amazed to finally hear music that could reach inside and tweak my soul and imagination. I especially was moved by "Bound to End" and "Bluebird Street." Katie you rawk! Thanks for a super album!
How do you stand out in a sea of major label crap? You Rock!
author: John BarashHow do you stand out in a sea of major label crap? You Rock! I have seen her live and wondered if her charisma could be captured on a recording. The answer is yes... this album is a gem. I particularly love the title track and a sexy ode to female longing, "My Love". It is refreshing to hear a rock song from a female perspective that turns traditional roles upside down and makes no apologies. This is a great rock and roll recording. I Love It...
Amazing and Original. I can't stop listening to it.
author: Vita Hewitt artistThe music is original and has that gritty quality that many female artists strive for and few accomplish. I highly reccomend buying this.
