ARTIST BIO
K.C.

HISTORY
K.C., born Ernest Gregory Jr. lives in Akron, Ohio. Born in Silver Spring, MD.
He received a lot of street knowledge from D.C. Living back and forth with his mother and father. He gained an acute sense of being. Getting caught up in gangs and the street life he chose to take the negative energy and turn it into a positive force. At age of about 10 the first rap was born. Not to mention he was scratching his mothers records up by playing Mr. dj. He would rap on the corner with his boys, coming right off the top of the head. Many people would say you should create a demo. He was never that serious until he heard LL's radio. That caught him off guard. It was time to get real. "i felt a sort of awe when i heard that song. i knew i was good. I wanted to be great!"

EXPERIENCE / PERFORMANCES
Other than rapping in front of crowds at talent shows. K.C. has performed at the Voodoo Lounge, The Station Nite Club, Kent State University, and many small events. Learning that every time he performs some place. It's as if he's doing it for the first time.

GOALS / OBJECTIVES
1 goal that K.C. has is to bring all the talent in Akron together. Feeling that more can be done as a unit, than ever can be done divided. He just wants to keep giving the joy of music for as long as he can. "I miss what it was like when you were doin this on the corner with your mans and them. We have rappers, we need hip-hop mc's."

FAVORITES
" My favorite artists are LL, Rakim, Spice 1, Mc eight, Ice Cube, Easy E, DMX, Geto Boys', and many more. They all have had an impact on me to create a legacy of my own". As you can see the list is pretty involved, ranging form East coast. To West coast, and the South. I guess it's fair to say Hip-hop is in his soul!

WHAT TO EXPECT
The first cd "IMPRESSION" was old school. Old school to the core. "That was my impression of hip-hop when I stopped rapping". This new offering is without a doubt night and day. Hard hitting beats, slick collaborations, and a style that you cant put your finger on. Guarantees that there is a few if not all of the songs on this cd will be enjoyed. This Cd is also an enhaced cd!

"Oh yeah, before i forget. Holla at your man man!"

I've decided to add an incentive. When you purcahase my cd from cdbaby. When I have been notified of your purchase. I will contact you via e-mail, then I will send u an advanced underground copy of my DVD (DA' MAN DA' MYTH DA' LEGEND). Hurry, this offer won't last long!

  • Over here, we hear!
    author: Kabola

I'm from indonesia. It takes a while for us to get the new music. So we really depend on the net to give us the new releases. My friend told me to come to cdbaby and find some new music. Being as we get everything late, when I listened to these songs. I knew I found a rapper that was the new thing. I like his sound, I like his flow, I even like the cover. It sounds like it would kill in a car system. Yes yes, our rims shine too! It just takes longer. The sound is nice and smooth. Keep up the good work. I'll be looking forward to hearing more from u.

  • Big up from GUAM USA
    author: Big Duck

This CD is hot! Planet A-Kron is getting on the map. It's versatile and exiting. The play on words is unique. The beats are nice and the bass is bangin. I hope to hear more from this artist. Peace from Guam, Where America's day begins.

  • all good
    author: Street wise magazine

This cd is all good. I like cd's where there are more than one type of flow. It makes a statement for hip-hop. To this editor I feel this cd is a great collection of hits. Nice flows, and cool beats. Some a couple beats don't go wit the flow, or vice versa, but the artists makes a great seamless attempt to correct it. Hats off to ya KC for makin it happen. Can't wait to see what els comes up!

  • Uncharted waters
    author: Editor of music

This guy seems to have tapped into uncharted waters with this cd. His cd is more than gangsta, or hard core rap. More than commercial validity. Its spoken words and driven rythem. It's along way from the normal local music I hear. This cd has the potential to show what hip hop is all about. I only gave it 4 stars, because all the tracks are not available for listening. Kudos to u for making what should be a no-brainer in choices for god music.

  • Making Moves Wit Music and More outta the O.

  • HE GOT A DVD
    author: DA KENNEL

HE GOT A DVD! ONE OF THE GUYS IN MY CLICK PICKED THE CD, SOUNDS FAT, LOADS OF BASS. HE'S GOT A LOT OF GUEST APPERANCES ON IT. HE CAME A LONG WAY FROM HIS FIRST CD. EVERYTIME HE RAPS, IT SOUNDS LIKE HE IMPROVES. I HIT UP HIS E-MAIL TO TELL HIM IT WAS COOL, HE WROTE ME BACK AND SAID HIS DVD WAS DONE. I INSTANTLY SAID RUSH ME A COPY. IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO KNOW ABOUT THE RAPPER THAT YOU LIKE, THIS IS THE DVD FOR YOU. IT'S NOT ABOUT GIRLS SHAKING THE BOOTY! IT'S A DOCUMENTARY ABOUT HIM. I LIKE THE DVD, AND THE CD IS TIGHT. NOT TOO MUCH OF THIS, OR THAT. JUST A REAL GOOD BALANCE OF EVERTHING! KEEP IT UP MAN!

  • Ak-Town's hardest working artist, it's no surprise.
