Finding 99 is a collection of original songs from Colorado guitarist/ songwriter Ken K - ranging from acoustic instrumentals to gritty rock anthems about real-life.
Imagine Radiohead, the Wallflowers and all phases of Neil Young on the same concert ticket. Rich metaphorical lyrics, sonic textures, tempos and hooks draw the listener in and beckon them to sing along. Warning: these songs may intentionally inhabit your head for the rest of the day.
"Tattoo" is a must listen. A witty poke at pop culture that rocks you into a sing-along chorus. A great ringtone song!
The politically and socially driven "Dirty Windows", reached #32 (out of over 1400 songs) on Neil Young's "Living With War Daily" website in late 2007.
"Give In To Love", "Finding 99", "Find My Peace", "Near", and "I Believe In You" convey a positive and enthusiastic outlook of the human spirit. "I Don't Need To Be Told", and "Indian Summer" feature strong metaphors and cool guitar solos. "Zosia" closes the album with a beautiful acoustic instrumental.
