"I once saw Kennedy play at Spaceland during his Maharishi, fire-eating, diet Red Bull and Ketamine phase. He snorted PCP on stage off of some hipster's mesh trucker hat and then shot up cars in the parking lot!" -The Wall Street Journal
Born Jack Kennedy to a father named John Wayne, Kennedy is a true American. Clawing his way out of this pop culture abyss is Kennedy; singer, songwriter, M.C., rock star, motherfucker. Equal parts raconteur and provocateur, Kennedy is the consummate showman, a bit of PT Barnum, a dash of Woody Allen, a spoonful of Mark Mothersbaugh and a whole heaping helping of Dirk Diggler.
Kennedy has quickly become a favorite among LA's hipster illuminati. In LA’s trendy Silverlake district, Kennedy can be found sharing the stage with Fiona Apple, Jon Brion, Elliot Smith, Diamond Nights, Tenacious D, Ozomatli, The Black Keys, Juliana Hatfield, Jimmy Eat World, and many other somewhat talented artists.
After being kicked out of L.A.’s Silversun Pickups for setting the singer’s sweater on fire, Kennedy was selected to open for Jon Brion at Café Largo in Los Angeles. Jon invited Kennedy to record at his studio with engineer Tom Biller (Kanye West, Fiona Apple, Sean Lennon.) The name-dropping doesn’t end there. Kennedy was spotted by Gordon Raphael (The Strokes, Regina Spektor) while supporting Bloc Party and Elefant in London. Gordon demanded that Kennedy record at his London studio. Two tracks were recorded in one day and the rest is history. Gregg Alexander (New Radicals. Sophie Ellis Bextor, Santana) discovered his music in a café in Santa Monica and immediately flew him to London to record three tracks at Mayfair Studios with engineer George Shilling (My Bloody Valentine, Blur, Soup Dragons, Primal Scream.)

It doesn't get any better than this!
author: JTizzleThis CD OWNS! The only problem... it's short. 6 songs made me want so much more! Kennedy is the disco-electro-funk master, and this CD proves it. Even my peeps that don't like this kind of music has to respect "Your Mama"!
Kennedy elected next president of Awesomeville
author: www.idiotswhorock.comyea so this kennedy cat is the real deal. he has been there and kissed her. so no ifs ands or buts about it. well maybe some buts. from start to finish the grooves and hooks are deeper in the pocket than that crooked politician. the beats are about as fat as humanly possible. and the lyrics evoke a kindler gentler america or even brazil where the coke flowed like wine. i love kennedy and i hope he maintains the funk even when he is in his carbohydrate, sequined-jumpsuit, young-girls-in-white-cotton-panties, waking-up-in-a-pool-of-your-own-vomit, bloated-purple-dead-on-a-toilet phase.
He played with the Aquabats
author: The JuiceI first saw Kennedy at an Aquabats show. From the moment i heard him i knew he was gonna be the next big thing to hit the world since that last big thing that hit it. Hillbilly Witchcraft and Karate are the 2 greatest songs ever. And now that Kennedy is on fuse, the world can finaly know of his awsomeness!

author: j jonah jamesonI first saw this guy at a little club in nyc. there were probably 30 people in the place, but he put on a show that would have filled a stadium. took off his clothes and lit the drumset on fire. then i hear these amazing disco songs and basically it's all over. this guy is a musical and pop culture genius. this EP is awesome!
