notes

Ken began playing guitar at age 13 and has never looked back. Inspired by guitarists as diverse as Jimi Hendrix, Jimmy Page, Joe Satriani, Steve Vai and Yngwie Malmsteen, Ken has crafted a guitar style that spans generations.

Mixing elements of hard rock, heavy metal and blues, he walks a tightrope between emotionally filled guitar playing with flashes of virtuoso playing, creating a style that is uniquely his own.

  • A BLAST!
    author: JIM PORTER

This is a blast. No aimless shredding but leads with direction and melody played over exciting riffs, the kind of stuff I love to play in the car. There is a definite feel good factor that makes me want to play it again as soon as it has finished.

  • Ted, don't forget to wind your watch!!
    author: Paddy Leitsch www.PaddyL.com

What can I say? Bill S. Preston Esq. and Ted Theodore Logan would be so proud!!! Excellent!! (Insert air guitar gyration here.) Ken Snyder works his Wayne (no Garth) Charvel Guitar like a John Tapella and Troy Stetina Bach-Paganini-head-cutting duel. While the notes fly with unmitigated dexterity, I can’t help but place the guitar tone as decidedly Jerry Cantrell. Fans of Vai’s Flex-Able would be well advised to grab a fistful of Snyder and slam it against your ears. But as a Wiseman once told me (and I was just as mad at him at the time for saying it as Ken will probably be after reading this) smash that drum machine and HIRE THE REAL THING!!! The music deserves way more than the Boss DR-5 can deliver. Other than that, this is all the electricity of a Heavy Metal Helloween Head Banger’s Ball with all of the eclecticism of any gun blazing bandoleer album. Dick Dale said it best, “Better shred than dead.”

  • Incredible album from Cut Throat guitarist
    author: Wes Royer

"One" sounds fantastic, with layers of guitars, melody and virtuoso. This is a very professional sounding album with various styles, from blues to metal to funk. Probably one of the best CDs I have bought from CDBaby.com.

  • If your taste in rock music favors the instrumental variations of the shredding kind then the electrifying debut release, 'One' by Ken Snyder is one that will leave your senses comfortably numb. Snyder's mastery of the six string fretboard assault leaves no notes untouched. From displaying riffs and symphonies with tracks like, "Ball Buster" and "March Of The Ants" to laying down sizzling hot blues licks like on, "Slow Burn". Ken Snyder's 'One' is a reflection of one's visionary musical ideas come to life. Intense power, passion and attitude all wrapped up in one! All one needs to do is listen to the CD to hear and feel what I'm talking about. - The Atomic Chaser
