Summary
Kid Wezel is the stage name used by Louise Peacock. A Canadian singer/songwriter based in Toronto, Ontario, she writes a wide variety of styles which include Blues, Jazz, Pop, Folk, and Country. She was born in England, brought up in England, Belgium, South Africa and Portugal. She later returned to England, where she stayed for 2 years, then became a landed immigrant to Canada. She suffers from Manic Depressive disease, which does not slow her down one bit - she usually is most creative during her depressive swings.

Industry Related Experience
Has run a successful small music promotions, publicity and web design business since 1996. Has an excellent industry network in place, which provides her with the knowledge and ability to market and promote her own music.

Anectdotal
Kid Wezel has always been a lover of all types of music. She was brought up in Portugal with their folk music which is the Fado.

Notes about 10 Weezy Pieces:
Tracks 1,2,3,4 and 6 feature Nonie Crete on vocals. This gal has a stunning voice and does a great job on these tracks.
All the other tracks feature Kid herself on vocals.
The wonderful Sax player is Patricia Wheeler and the Piano player is Ron Davis.
Stand-up bass player Alfred Gertler is featured on tracks 5 through 9.
Track 10 is a remix of Track 9 by friend and colleague, SawJaw.

    This girl can write songs! I first heard her material in Toronto, at a jazz festival 2 years ago. I like the versatility of her material. I got a copy of this CD and was very pleased with the variety. The full production on the first four cuts is great, but then they go to a more minimal approach on songs like Take It Easy. I never got bored with listening. Her live performances are wild - she changes outfits three or four times during a set, and does it right on stage ...she connects really well with her audience and has an easy, lowstress singing approach. I always try to get out to hear her, if I'm in town when she's performing. I can't wait to get Kid's new CD when it comes out.. Mary LaFitte, Ottawa

I think Louise has a great voice, really cool style. It is like what I think you would hear in a classy bar where elegant people sit and smoke and sip martinis. The good life. Rich and full music. I don't think you much need to add drums unless you keep them soft and understated, maybe a little brush on cymbal. Very nice track, enjoyed it immensely...thanks.......Goxnadly
