Los Angeles Flute Quartet has made great strides for new music and the flute, using repertoire from different periods, and performances with great stylistic and color contrast. The ensemble continues to stretch the boundaries of creativity through stimulating experimentation, and gone well beyond commonly known extended techniques. LAFQ has become an envoy for California composers, winning awards, performing on radio and television, receiving acclaimed reviews, commissioning and publishing many new works and continuing to champion the flute family as emissary for new chamber music.

The group sounded like a full choir...so kudos to the recording engineer as well. Keep it up. This was a real pleasure to listen to!
