Laplace goes beyond the new wave of electronica a la Aphex Twin and Squarepusher.

Laplace's music evokes the slick electro grooves of mid '70s Kraftwerk and Jean Michel Jarre.

Silky and at the same time strong beats and impressive keyboard strains on most of the songs prove that Laplace is ready for world wide success.

With a an electronic outfit capable of taking electronic music's original influences and making tomorrow's "now" music today.

  • Very entertaining and enjoyable electronic music.

    Laplace creates music that is easy to listen to while very entertaining. With Virtual Analogy they have avoided the looped-based music styles that are so overused and have found their own sound that draws influence from the likes of Kraftwerk and Depeche Mode. Laplace do not settle on being a "copy" band of their influences, but have instead created a unique sound that is truly theirs. The vocals, which are sung in spanish, greatly add to the Laplace sound. The songs have many change-ups and are not repetitive. There is plenty of ear candy to keep the songs interesting and entertaining. Virtual Analogy goes on my highly recommended list. I look forward to future releases from Laplace.

    Laplace – Analogía Virtual – 2000, Fourier Records Por Psychonauta Influenciados por el sonido minimal y totalmente análogo de Kraftwerk y toda esa generación que sembró lo que ahora es llamado Industrial, así como por la energía de la EBM ochentera, Laplace es un grupo tijuanense que desde finales de la década de los ochenta se dedica a hacer música electrónica de ciertos elementos pop. Analogía virtual es su tercer material y en este aparecen diez temas con bastante calidad, todos ellos trabajados y pulidos con gran dedicación y muestra de esto, algunas técnicas de grabación que utilizaron como Xtremenix, Random FX y Talking Computer, realmente sencillas pero muy creativas por su parte al realizar una verdadera investigación dentro de la cybercultura, que precisamente es el tópico que influencia de manera íntegra a Laplace. Todos los cortes son buenos, aunque la voz en los tracks Héroe de ti y Hormonas en turbo suena demasiado pop, exceptuando este detalle, Laplace ofrece un buen disco en donde la diversidad de samples y las sólidas secuencias de bajo son el primer punto de atracción.     Analogía Virtual es el resultado de trabajo arduo y de una equilibrada simbiosis entre el intelecto humano-tecnológico. Diez cortes que hablan apasionadamente de los mundos sintéticos, todo ello resapaldado por un magnífico sonido tecno pop, minimalismo implícito y virtuales samplers, teclados lúdicos que conforman el mundo virtual de laplace. El sonido recuerda aquellos pasajes de proyectos de otrora como kraftwerk, la incursión de guitarra es muy ad hoc, laplace guarda un frio equilibrio entre los elementos que conforman su producción. Un disco ampliamente recomendable.

    Great album by LaPlace. It's an electronic journey thru different points of the Cyber-Cultural Matrix. Excellent musicianship, 90's electronica with a classic 80's feel to it. Some songs reminded me of Kraftwerk & Clock DVA. A definite must have for any electronica lover's collection. Recommended songs : Hacktivismo!, Acesso Denegado, Elektrycom, Technofilia, Heroe de ti.

    I think the cd is a comming of a new age for these guys, the songs are very good specially the "rompiendo el dominio", solid performanceon vocals and specially on keys, a very excellent future ahead of them.

    Felicidades a los integrantes del grupo. Creo que han hecho un muy buen trabajo y les deseo mucho éxito . Me pareció muy diferente a la demás música electrónica que he escuchado , insisto, muy original. Espero que sigan asi y que muy pronto lanzen otro CD. Fato... espero que no se te vaya a subir ahora que perteneces al mundo de la farándula.
