"One day the idea came to me for a CD project that would contain one song written in each of the seven keys: ABCDEFG. To make it more interesting, I decided each song title should be one word, and start with the same letter as the key it is in. To take it a step further,
all the song titles when read in order should make a complete sentence that makes sense. In the end, the song titles spell out the actual title of the CD. I don't think this has ever been done before!" --- Bill The Thrill 2008

"I started off by going through a dictionary and looking through each of the 7 letters of the 7 keys(ABCDEFG) and wrote down each word that could work as a song title. Then I tried to arrange one word from each group to make a sentence that made sense. Of the lines that came out I chose the one I thought made the best title, with Jill's assistance. As I started to write each song, lyrics first,
I tried to use within the song as many of the chosen words as I could. ABNORMAL, DRIFT and CASTAWAYS were the first songs written using this technique. It proved to be quite a difficult task and I ended up reverting to my normal writing style for the rest of the record. The music followed so quickly that all of the songs' basic tracks were laid down in a matter of only 20 days! I had no studio speakers at that time. So with mixing on hold, these tracks were shelved and I moved on to the next concept. A year passed and the time was right to work on completing this project. It remains one of my most original ideas and an extremely enjoyable CD to make. Enjoy!!" --Bill The Thrill

ABNORMAL

i know it seems we're taking the long way i like to think we're just doing it our way yeah and i don't care if we stray outside the lines anxiously waiting for some kind of clearing pay no attention to what you are hearing no they only want us to fall back in line being abnormal is fine anyone could see we have our own system anywhere but here as long as we are living yeah with a heartbeat beating so
divine ask if you want the burning question you know my lady gets all my affection yeah but i'm amused that you keep on trying being abnormal is fine if we're abnormal then i say abnormal is fine no one can say their way is the right way so we attempt to achieve a higher level accelerating to outrun the devil yeah we are alone but we're oh so alive ascending now to avoid alienation this atmosphere awakes the imagination yeah as we ride out the avalanche on life being abnormal is fine

BLIND

you were so sweet downing sangria your bracelet broken like clouds against the sky calling to me from out at the seaside 'til the waves swept away the display holding your eyes you didn't care about the ceremony the perfect dress too hard to find it's not about the things given to me i'm not about to waste your time if love is blind it's hard to believe i couldn't see it all the time right here in
front of my eyes it's hard to believe i couldn't feel it so ashamed so afraid so betrayed by the perfect disguise we didn't talk about the honeymoon thing we could have done without the wine it's not about the house you've yet to see i'm not about to waste your time if love is blind you were so sweet and so deceiving every word that i heard like a bird a sweetened delight now as you leave i can't
believe it and the day slips away as we say we didn't mean to lie you didn't ask about the telephone thing you wouldn't read between the lines i should have asked about those late night meetings but i ain't about to waste my time if love is blind

CASTAWAYS

It's crazy it's cruel but it's comfortably cool we're closer every day but we moved so far away we were curious at first it could not have started worse but with a little help from chemistry we'll unveil the greatest mystery crossing the ocean was the easy part we sailed for days and did not drift apart cruisin' the coastline with a confident calm cautiously watching for another storm that never seems to show with my three wishes i would wish on a star you and an island and a beat-up guitar we could be castaways the rest of our lives that would be fine with me as long as i have you another chapter's started a challenge i'll confess crawling very slowly things are so complex at the cafe i was calling out we would carelessly connect at the chalet that day in Mexico disconcerned with the distress crossing the desert was the easy part we walked for days but did not drift apart the complete picture hard to comprehend we fall down but get back up again to let the genie know i'd treat you like a big celebrity if you'll confide in me your concerns we could plan a special ceremony if you'll believe in me in return little castles in the sand on the beach walk hand in hand gentle waves setting sun gentle breeze gentle one

DRIFT

Hazy lazy days and i miss you daisies drift away as i kiss you maybe crazy fades to be with you maybe crazy fades it fades away danger doesn't scare me anymore deception doesn't damage the desire that's for sure your diary down dying on the floor though we differ in direction we'll drift until collected by the shore dreaming steaming love into your ocean dancing deep in the delight that holds your love maybe i'm chasing down the shadow of a cloud from up above maybe i'm chasing down a shadow that's delicious so delicious and danger doesn't scare me anymore disappointment doesn't bother to call upon my door your dirty dress down dying on the floor though we differ in direction we'll drift until collected by the shore driving will undoubtedly decide what gets delivered denial divides the detached and the determined take me off into the dusk out in the desert take me off into the night and don't delay and the danger doesn't scare me anymore defending my designs is never easy and those daggers didn't do me in for sure though we differ in direction we'll drift until collected by the shore and the danger doesn't scare me anymore deception won't destroy dry desires that's for sure your diary down dying on the floor though we differ in direction we'll drift until collected by the shore

EVERYWHERE

i will use my imagination to make a world of all my own i'll make general observations as i travel down these roads i will purposely remove myself from situations that arise and are potentially not right for me as i travel through this life and everywhere i go i go with you and everything i do i do for you and every time i need reminding i only have to look inside me everywhere i go i go with you i will make the most of what i have to offer to mankind take every step with confidence and try not to look behind i will learn from my miscalculations disecting what went wrong that if the situation shows again i'll have the strength to carry on everywhere i go i go with you and everything i do i do for you and every time i need reminding i only have to look inside me everywhere i go i go with you i will use my imagination to bring comfort through the years i will put aside the foolish pride and i'll wrestle down my fears i will stand for all i know that's true i will show what i believe i will open up my heart for you 'cause i am ready to receive everywhere i go i go with you and everything i do i do for you and every time i need reminding i only have to look inside me everywhere i go i go with you

FOUND

I wrote a song you did not notice the disappointment was immediate but that was then i've turned the corner i am at peace without my former and it's your dreams that are important now and it finally feels my life is settling down and i can say it feels good to give and that's the way that i want to live and i'm found i am found i asked you once to buy me a teapot you did not hesitate or stop to contemplate my oh so very unusual request i'd have to say it was you at your best and all the little things i once took for granted i see them different now it makes me wonder how you can love me with all my imperfections you say it's easy and you will never leave me and i'm found i am found your love is sweet your love is tender and you will have my unconditional surrender and i will strive to always do my best i know indeed i am so very blessed and it's my honor to be with you always you have my hand and word darling i hope you see the new day dawning i think i've found my final calling.

GRATEFUL
