notes

The daughter of esteemed opera conductor Eve Queler, Liz's childhood was rich with music. Her deep, soulful music reflects her diverse musical upbringing, combining different styles, languages, and instruments.

"no small wonder" is Liz's third record, and was produced by Grammy nominated producer Seth Farber. The 12 tracks include appearances by Lucy Kaplansky and Cliff Eberhardt, as well as Larry Campbell (Bob Dylan), Jimmy Vivino (Conan O'Brien), Larry Saltzman (Jewel), Mike Visceglia (Suzanne Vega) and Joe Bonadio (Martin Sexton).

Liz's song "Cry" from her second release "Silent Witness" was licensed for use by the soap opera "Passions". She's won songwriting awards from Billboard and the National Academy of Popular Music. A singers' singer, Liz subsidizes her creative endeavors by singing and composing for TV and film scores including Disney's "The Little Mermaid", "Barney's Great Adventure" and numerous commercial jingles. Most recently she sang the great Rodgers and Hart standard "My Funny Valentine" for an American Masters' Series biography on Lucille Ball which airs nationally on PBS.

Liz Queler's voice stands alone, right in the place where folk country and pop music intersect.

    author: Tamara D. Turner

With a genuine and familiar voice, this award winning artist holds kind hands with country and folk. Reaching into the warmth reminiscent of Indigo Girls and with a hat tipped to Linda Rondstadt, these tender and simple, yet forthright songs flow like a stream, slowly eroding away the stubborn stones of uneasiness in your mind. With her experience singing for TV and film scores, her home-sweet-home voice will work its way into your memory, smoothing over everything in its wake. Fans of Anne Murray and Amy Grant will also want to give this a listen for its soft, heartfelt personality. Kick back with this album and remember the softness of a sunny afternoon.
