notes

5-Mics in The Source? The artist that Murder Dog Magazine (Volume 6, Number 4) called "Young Undiscovered Talent" is ready to be discovered!
L-Love "Political Science" a heavily militant album that is a true album and not a Cd made up of singles and then presented as an album is one of the best offerings since 2pac "2pacalypes Now".
While if released on a Major Label it would be an A&R Managers worst nightmare because of it's lack of true singles, it's stripped-down Production, Militancy over-toned and Power-to-the-People lyrics are perfect for an Independent Label and equal a consistent seller for Independent Distributors and One Stops.
There is a Raw-Jagged-Edged allure in the Black Power themed 13th Studio album from L-Love that is missing in todays watered down Commercial Music. This man talks with a force that lets you know he believes every word that is coming out of his mouth.
Can you say Martin Luther King Jr., Malcom X, Zapata or Chiapas?!

  • DO YOUR THANG IS A HIT

  • DO YOU KNOW THE TRUTH?????????
    author: Mac Jeff

This is some bold music. L-Love has opened a new chapter in his art. Honestly, I wouldn't have expected an album like this from L-Love. His style of flow makes good profits, so why change up with a different message??? He did it cuz he believes in a cause and is willing to take risks to stand up for his beliefs. How many artists are willing to do that? Not many. U.K. Sensation, 2Ban, paves the road for tha revolution. He especially shines on "What's the use". He seriously reminds me of a combination of Chuck D., Paris, and Professor X. Booda Cess brings tha heat too. Especially wit that track "Animosity". It reminds me of 50 Cent's "Piggy Bank" or DMX's "X is coming for ya". Also throwin down on tha album and bringin flava are Pola Bear, Chief Piece, and Buco. L-Love is taking tha Kanye West approach here. He doesn't put out an album to be like everyone else. He tells a story of oppression and anger. He displays his heart. This record not only defines L-Love as an artist, but as a man. You should definely buy POLITICAL SCIENCE and get schooled!!!

  • Unique take on Bay Area rap
    author: Abubo

I got your Cd at Rasputin Music in Berkeley and I want to say that you have a unique take on how you feel about other Bay Area music. I enjoy the fact that you put your own spin on the music and don't sound like anyone else from the area. I think it was great how you put the poet on the album and also the Reggae singer. The song "You!" is very Powerful. I am gonna be telling more students on my campus about the project because I think that it is wonderful. But you really should give your fellow artists more credit. Not everyone has the same mission.
