~~~~~~~~
As heard on the Dr. Demento Show, "the great Luke Ski", specializes in high quality rap parodies, and touches on many pop culture subjects such as science fiction, cartoons, TV, Movies, and more. Luke Ski has been writing, recording, and performing his parodies since 1994. He has released 6 CDs, "Fanboys 'n da Hood" (1996), "Shadows Of The Bunghole" (1997), "Carpe Dementia" (1999), "Uber Geek" (2002), "Worst Album Ever" (2003), and "unCONVENTIONal" (2006). His Run DMC parody about Spider-Man, "Peter Parker" was the #1 most requested song of 2002 on the nationally syndicated "Dr. Demento Show". And "Stealing Like A Hobbit", his Eminem / Lord Of The Rings parody song, was again the most requested song of 2003 on "Dr. Demento", as well as getting national airplay from Mancow's Morning Madhouse and other shows that feature comedy music. He also performs at some of the nation's biggest fandom conventions, like Dragon*Con, GenCon SoCal, MarsCon, TolCon, MarCon, Origins, GenCon Indy, Archon and many more.
The Great LukeSki soon to be bigger than Weird Al
author: ART PAUL SCHLOSSERHi,I'm ART PAUL SCHLOSSER and I admit when I first met The Great LukeSki and he gave me a copy of this CD I was not really amazed by the cover and I didn't really start playing it over and over but I did like Froot Loops and I was open to letting him on my TV show.Of coarse I let almost anybody on my TV show so it was no big deal but when I saw Luke do his songs on my show I was really impressed and if this was a review of his live performance I would give him 5 * s.I think you will like this CD but I suggest if you can see Luke live it's better.Songs you might like are: Star Wars Trilogy Homesick Blues,Y.O.D.A and Insane and the Brain.
One of the funniest parody albums ever!
author: Daniel DiCensoFavorite tunes: "Froot Loops", Insane and The Brain", "Baby Got Brak" (Who did Brak? He was awesome!) "Rocky Horror", "MST Picture Show" and "Star Wars Homesick Blues" were the most original parodies and very cool! Highly Reccomended!
Truly awesome
author: Derwood BowenLuke Ski never fails to triumph through the mundane world with funny stuff, and this is a great supporter of that statement. Tracks like "You might be a Trekkie" and "Insane and the Brain" and "Macho Man (Oooh Yeah!)" were some of my personal favorites, but the whole CD is worth the seventy-something minutes you spend in your life.
Awesome
author: NarfboyThis Cd kicked butt. I would recommend it to all my friends.
I liked some of the songs
author: JuggaloI didn't care for rocky horror because I am a huge ICP fan a take it personal when people don't bother to get to know us but presume to know everything about us. Other than the ICP diss the album whas exceptional.
Very good with some exceptions.
author: HulkerinoI found my enjoyment of the songs matched my enjoyment of the subject sung about. I don't like Rocky Horror or MST3K, and I didn't like the songs either. But I love South Park, the Simpsons, and Beavis & Butthead and I thought the songs about them were very funny. A very good album.
EXCELLENT!
Truely an ingenious mix of styles and parodies, this CD will leave you laughing out loud for days on end. This CD will amaze and bewilder you fellow listeners! Any one who is a fan of sci-fi, fantasy, and all uber-geekness owes it to themselves to buy this CD!!
This cd is excellent
author: Holly GranzowThis is the first Cd I bought of Luke Ski. I must say I was impressed. I enjoyed all the songs. My favs were Baby Got Brak, Hill, and Bart Sim Sun. If you consider yourself a Weird Al fan, you will enjoy this cd.
