As heard on the Dr. Demento Show, "the great Luke Ski", this up and coming parodist specializes in high quality rap parodies, and touches on many pop culture subjects such as science fiction, cartoons, TV, Movies, and more. Luke Ski has been writing, recording, and performing his parodies since 1994. He has released 5 CDs, "Fanboys 'n da Hood" (1996), "Shadows Of The Bunghole" (1997), "Carpe Dementia" (1999), "Uber Geek" (2002), and "Worst Album Ever" (2003). Last year his Run DMC parody about Spider-Man, "Peter Parker" was the #1 most requested song of 2002 on the nationally syndicated "Dr. Demento Show". And this year, his latest CD release's "Stealing Like A Hobbit", an Eminem / Lord Of The Rings parody song, is again the most requested song of 2003 thus far on "Dr. Demento", as well as getting national airplay from Mancow's Morning Madhouse and other shows that feature comedy music. He has recently sold an original song for use in a Cable TV pilot called "NewsJam", which if it becomes a weekly TV series will feature more original comedy music from Luke Ski. He is also slated to perform at some of the nation's biggest fandom conventions, like GenCon SoCal, MarsCon, TolCon, MarCon, Origins, GenCon Indy, Archon and many more.

    This disc was completely worth it just for My Name is Al Bundy, Peter Parker, Keanu Man and my fave Bender Roboto! CDBaby sent it FAST too. There are a couple of duds, like Theme From Ash because it's friggin' POKEMON we're talkin' here, but Luke's voices are dead on, the production value is great and even the little bits between tracks are entertaining. For the Luke Ski fan, hell, parody fan in general, Uber Geek is must-have material!!

    Some of The Great Luke's finer work in here, as well as excellent bach-up vocals and guest stars. If you've heard any of Luke's work, it's probably a track from this album! And, once you've heard one of his tracks, you'll want to hear them all. The "in studio" tracks between songs are hilarious as well!

    I was thoroughly enjoying this CD after seeing the Great Luke Ski live at Gen-Con, but when the track on the Keeanu Man came on, I thought I was going to die! It's just too true! We have and enjoy his other CD's, too, but this is the funniest (my kids like Unconventional best). Try to see Luke in concert: it's a treat! Oh-- and this is our second copy of this disc: our first just wore out ...

    There's only one or two things keeping it from a five. If there was a graduated scale it would be a 4.8. In my short review I mentioned that it was two of three, that was behind Unconventional and ahead of Worst Album Ever. Duh. I believe I've left reviews of those as well. G mrmeph@bitstream.net

    Between the rapid-fire pop culture jabs and the spot-on voice talent (Brak and Bender steal the show), Luke cements his place as a fanboy genius without equal. The epic "It's a Fanboy Christmas" will forever change how you listen to holiday music, and there should be an award for someone with the cajones to satirize "Angel" with the "O Brother Where Art Thou" song. WARNING: You WILL injure yourself listening to this friggin' genius!

    This is definately an awesome CD from an awesome artist. I don't know whether the skits or the songs were funnier, but each track was awesome in it's own way, and well worth 73 minutes of my time. I'm likely to make it 146 minutes within the not too distant future listening to it again!

    The songs on this CD were very all humourous. Some of them were floor rollers, others knee slappers...well worth my dollars and a good collar loosener after a stressful day.

    Every track on this CD is funny. This album is as good as anything Weird Al or Adam Sandler ever did. This guy needs to make some videos to get his butt on MTV or something. A star waiting to happen.

    This is a great CD with a lot of good songs, but everyone will probably have at east one song thay don't like. (for me it was 'Wannabe a Slayer') But great overall package nonetheless.
