Album Notes

Raw pulsating drums, Grinding Rhythms, tumultuous bass, and a fresh style of rapid screaming, high-energy lead give this largely instrumental Alternative-Punk act a texture and vibrance wholly new to the Seattle Scene. Reminiscent of early Nirvana, Shæg's unpolished embrace of gain and feedback strips music to it's emotional core!

Shæg is
Kristophe Shæg Arbeitsmann - Guitar(s)
J Nein9 Wright - Drums (sometimes)

All songs written and performed by Shæg.
Recorded at Dormant Factor Studios, Seattle.

Shaeg Rocks!

Awesome to finally see Shaeg on CDBaby! These guys have been a little kick to my Reverb playlist for a couple of years, always wild and fun!! Noise Rock, sigh, where have you been all these years lol, i miss you ! Filter is a good comparison, though I can't really think of a contemporary thing that is like these guys. Flipper was sort of like this, I would call it sort of a punk-jazz. There are some serious mike problems here, but that's part of the fun and gives it a very garage sound. These guys have loaded some other clips that are a lot less gritty, looks like they didn't make the concept cut for this one though. Really great to see it here. Kris, J, u Rock!
Spirited & Emotive

This is what independent punk rock is really about, in your face emotive music that just triggers something inside you. I love the passion and crazy shifts in key, a lot of stuff going on in the melody on several of these tracks. Pound for pound an incredible amount of sound coming from just two guys, and the little bass solo track was a fun break in the action. I love the grittiness, but in some cases maybe a little too grainy and something is loss. All in all a great instrumental spectrum of creative sound and power!
Fresh Indie Rock from Seattle!

Raw high-energy screeching guitars, Deep Bass Rumble, and mesmerizing beats - Indie Punk is alive & well in Seattle! Listened straight through, and though no technical masterpiece - there is definately something new and pure here -- all pretense is gone and just a wall of masterfully dirty sound. Almost like the early 90s. Powerful!
