notes

"Don't deny and don't defend / What was old is new again...." So sings MADISON PAIGE in the infectious "Any Day Now," a mission statement if there ever was one. There's no denying that the band members are children of the '80s: a decade when pop and metal forged an unholy alliance that dominated airwaves the world over. The genre's calling cards are all here: a charismatic frontman, blistering guitar solos, and anthems that refuse to leave your head. But in a world saturated by boy band clones and rap-metal drones, there has never been a better time for a young band like MADISON PAIGE to emerge. By drawing on influences ranging from Bon Jovi to Stone Temple Pilots, the group boasts a refreshing sound that combines adrenalin-inducing riffs with irresistible melodies, injecting the melodic hard rock genre with a sense of vitality that only youth can bring.
Now, with the release of Famous Last Words, MADISON PAIGE are proving that they are an artistic and commercial force to be reckoned with. Funded entirely by advance orders from the die-hard fan base the group has cultivated over the last two years, the self-produced disc serves as both a celebration and a condemnation of the human condition. From radio-ready party anthems, tender ballads or atmospheric epics, the album comes across a cohesive body of work that will excite and challenge the listener. MADISON PAIGE have, in effect, catapulted arena rock into this millennium. They may not be the flavor of the week, but in an industry that creates, follows, and discards trends at an alarming rate, times will always change. MADISON PAIGE will be here when they do.

  • great
    author: Eric

These guys are great and my sister is friends with Paul, as she met him on days of our lives. I was offered to be their live backing guitarist, but I assume my style was too zepish for them, although paul and richie liked it, the record company may not have as they are in the process of signing with dreamworks records, paul said they may not go for it as im several years younger and I have only played four years. I presume that we will hear more from Madison Paige in the very near future.

  • heart of steel wrapped in lambswool
    author: Anne St. Lawrence

Exposing guts of steel and the sensitivity of tuned in lovers, Madison Paige breaches the gap between 80's rock and new millennium heart sounds with expertise, variety of method, and wit. Richie Rivera's sensuous drums and riveting lyrics pave the way for the next giant step into superstardom. Overall, this album is an original piece not to be missed by rock aficionados.
