MANZANARES’ “Que Se Va” Wins One of the Top Three Best Latin Songs Worldwide in the 13th Annual Billboard World Song Contest!
MANZANARES WINS BEST LATIN ALBUM AT THE 2006 INDEPENDENT MUSIC AWARDS
Hot Spanish guitar, sizzling Latin percussion, and soulful vocals combine to create a high-energy and fiery new Latin sound that is MANZANARES. The group is comprised of brothers, David and Michael, and the virtuosic rhythms of their Latin/Worldbeat dance band.
Michael and David reach deep into their Spanish culture to weave a muscial tapestry with a dazzling repertoire that ranges from Spanish & Middle Eastern guitar melodies to Flamenco to Pop and Latin Rock.
Their Nuevo Latino style delivers an aggressive approach to the very danceable Rumba Flamenca style mixed with an exotic, progressive blend of Afro-Cuban rhythms; Merengue, Soca and Samba. MANZANARES has been compared to the Gipsy Kings, and even likened to Santana and Ottmar Liebert... but there really has never been a group with the sound of MANZANARES.
The electricity and raw energy of their performances continue to push this exciting Nuevo Latino act into the forefront of Latin Music. They have steadily been gaining national and international exposure and momentum.
Nuevo Latino is "NMMIA's 2003 Album of the Year"
MANZANARES performed with LOS LOBOS for the DE LA HOYA vs. MOSLEY pre-fight party and headlined the OSCAR DE LA HOYA after-fight party at the MGM GRAND in Las Vegas.
