The duo draws upon Led Zeppelin, Van Halen, Black Sabbath.
author: Writer Jaime de'Medici (CD Review of the "Return of the DinosaurWith a record entitled Return of the Dinosaur, it shouldn't come as much of a shock that Reed Marcotte and Steve Crabtree display a strong affinity for classic rock. The duo draws upon the monsters of yesteryear such as Led Zeppelin, Van Halen, and of course, Black Sabbath. One could argue the group does little to establish an identity for themselves past channeling their idols. But at least Marcotte and Crabtree display better tastes than the majority of the acts out today copping someone else's sound. Jaime de'Medici, Illinois Entertainer Magazine.
This 11 song collection will strike a strong chord with fans.....
author: Tom Lounges "Midwest Beat Magazine"The Times "ON THE GO" Local Scene published 01-09-04: This 11 song collection will strike a strong chord with fans of groove-heavy stoner rock from the late 60's and early 70's. As the title suggests, this is a case of middle-age musicians revisiting their roots and creating "dino-rock". They even get a little help from a true Chicago area dino legend J.C.Hartsfield. Rock On... Tom Lounges
....solid rock for the masses.
author: John Bowles...Steve Crabtree and Reed Marcotte have emerged from the many local Chicagoland artists producing solid rock for the masses. Radio ready tunes that would linger in the smokey air of any rock bar making the patrons sing and think of what they would have missed out on if the Dinosaur hadn't returned.
Heard around town.........
