I'm proud of you! Yoy sound Great!
author: Al CaldwellI love you midwestern Vibe. It's nice to hear real music!
refreshing/inovative
author: Pat HerreroThe album showed was as fluided as anyone could ever ask for. It took me down a gentle melodic journey.
Very refreshing - full of life.
author: Ed CrimingerAfter purchasing several CDs of bassists playing mostly upright, and most of them using the jazz trio or quartet format (piano, bass, drums, maybe sax), this CD brings an entirely different level of playing and listening experience. Mark's music, to me, not only brings the flavor of jazz basics, but also brings a newness not heard from many of his contemporaries today. Can't wait for the follow-up CD.
Mark Peterson was featured in Global Bass Magazine online.
author: Global Bass MagazineThe blue room he composes in must get a lot of sunshine because the music on this CD can brighten up any day. Every tune is so different. Mark is a master composer with incredible variety. The musicians, including his brother, Anthony Michael Peterson (guitarist), are superb players. Each tune is a treat unlike the others. If you're a bass player, you wouldn't have read this far. So, the rest of you, do what they did... Buy this disc! You'll love the melodies that shine through The Blue Room.
The greatest jazz CD I have heard in quite some time
author: W. MarieThis CD is refreshing and on its way to the top of the charts. A must buy!
If variety is the spice of life: "The Blue Room" is the place to be!
author: Jim Stewart, Marana, ArizonaMark Peterson has assembled a stunning lineup of musicians for this one. The amazing collection covers it all: The Blue Room is full of satisfying styles: funky, bluesy, smooth, energizing, stimulating, relaxing. The 8 original Mark Peterson compositions are so fine; the sound is splendid...the album flows!! The hardest thing to comprehend about this collection is that it could actually be a debut effort!! The masterful blend of talent, sound, musicianship, style and class make this one a must have! I have a feeling that wise music lovers will be joining me for many fine listening hours in Mark Peterson's Blue Room.
