notes
Marnie is an alluring and accomplished harpist/vocalist/songwriter with a unique flair for blending intelligent lyrics with haunting melodies. A classically trained musician, Marnie has combined her talents to create a sound that is evocative of folk music, but with roots in the classical world. Sunday Skies is a unique blend of sentiment and fable, with songs that guide the listener into the story of a character through poetry and melody.
Marnie is also a founding member of the group, transit, and their album, lost angles, is also currently for sale on cdbaby.

Beautiful! A voice not of this time! I highly recommend this cd!
author: Dana MarieI absolutely love Marnie's voice! I find myself in "another place" as I listen to her songs...her voice is not of this time and I couldn't love it more! I love to paint to her music...she is so inspiring! I HIGHLY recommended this cd and I cannot wait to purchase more of her work! ~ Dana Marie

With the haunting voice of Loreena McKennit and the knack for a story like Tori Amos if she fancied harp rather than piano, these moody and fluid New Age Folk beauties draped in Celtic-flavored harp and melodious vocals ease their way into the soft pockets of mysteries and daydreams. Gentle yet rousing, these songs glisten and sparkle with the color of morning.

Engaging lyrics & intriguing melodies
author: Allison WaltersMarnie's music feels both familiar and new. I feel like I should know the lyrics from the start, and yet the stories unfold in interesting directions. My favorites are Song of the Wheels and Holiday. This cd is a must-have in any collection!
soothing-has sweetness and clarity
author: Susan KlahrI can listen to Marnie Boyd for long periods of time while I'm painting. The music is soothing but not at all monotonous. Each song has something very different and special about it. My favorites are Holiday, Serendipity and Blue Serenade. Blue Serendade takes me to another time and place. It has a very visual quality
