DAN MCGUINNESS BIO
Raised in Palos Park, Illinois. A quiet, naturesque, south suburb of Chicago. Multi-sport athlete turned musician, Dan started playing guitar and writing songs shortly after high school in 1996/97 after being inspired by the rock n roll/country sounds of the bayou created by Creedence Clearwater Revival/John Fogerty in the late 60's.
Further inspirations, you will notice in his songwriting, are combinations of the stylings of John Denver and Neil Diamond.
" Beautiful and brilliant songwriting " - St. Ita's Radio (Dublin, Ireland)
" Dan's music is both innovative and inspiring " - Randee Floyd (KFLX Radio, Flagstaff, AZ)
His clever, positive, often humorous outlook on life, combined with his love for people and nature, is very much in tune with his songwriting and performance. He touches audiences wherever he performs.
Dan later moved to Sedona, Arizona at the turn of the millennium, (where he has also been working as a D-J for local KAZM Radio). A new beginning! "I wanted to play for different people every night", he says. "Sedona is tourist town getting close to five million visitors a year. What a great way to be seen and fine tune the show".
In 2002 Dan met "Uncle Marc", A&R/Producer, (Michelle Branch original recordings, also co-manager of 'What is This', predecessor band for 'Red Hot Chili Peppers'). Their close friendship inspired the making and release of Dan's 2004 debut CD "Blue Diamond Revival".
His beautiful, powerful voice along with his lovable, energetic, passion for performing stage presence makes him a crowd favorite anywhere he takes the stage. Dan received two standing ovations and an encore while opening up for 'Texas-Gypsy Song Man', Jerry Jeff Walker at the Sedona Cultural Park in August of 2003.
"Captivating and funny performance", - (fan quoted April 26th, Phoenix AZ)
" Dan's music is good time music and about time, ... I think Dan McGuinness is on the right track for success " - John Townsend (Bitchin' Entertainment, www.johntown.com)
Having taken his music all over America, Dublin, Ireland and elsewhere, music lovers have shared the joy, happiness, imagination and the love Dan McGuinness continues to create in his singing and songwriting. "I'm literally addicted to live performing", says Dan ... and it shows!

Awesome! Americana music has a new star- this album proves it!
author: Bjorn FlornGreat rockers, great ballads, all delivered with a powerhouse voice. Good musicianship throughout.
Very Unique
author: Tracy BenkowskiDan's music is very unique, not just the same old hard rock or noise that most neighborhood, hometown bads are playing now-a-days. It's "feel-good" music. Great job Dan! Can't wait to come out and see you again!
Rocks your socks off
author: MicheleThis album has a little bit of everything it exemplifies all that is good about music and style. This is a great blend of country-influenced rock-tinged music and the mood ranges from toe tapping Mardi Gras dance numbers to ballads laid so far back it feels like it might topple over. When you hear this music there is no way you can just sit your body wants to move. More than very highly recommended this is just an essential purchase for any music lover. Crank this one up and let it charm you!

author: Heather KubisiakThis young and talented musician hits home with the stories told by his music. His cleverly crafted lyrics and melodies compare to those of rock and blues mixed together with country stylings of past classic guitar players. Great music for the heart.
