notes
Michael P. Ryan’s music seems to play like a movie; each song brings with it a story of laughter, love and heartache. His “made for arena” style vocals stand strong against the background of his well produced freshman self release “Ride Out”. The music can best be described as country rock music with a passionate soul.
The song “Change Your Mind” features pedal steel legend Buddy Cage (New Riders of the Purple Sage).
Michael P. Ryan has been a Central New York mainstay for many years. On any given Saturday night, Mike can be found either playing acoustic guitar in a pub or playing bass to a packed nightclub. During a brief stint in Detroit, Mike’s passion for songwriting and performing was fueled by the opportunities that big city had to offer. After recording a four song demo, Mike captured the attention of Detroit Red Wing personality Karen Newman who coached Mike for his performance of the Star Spangled Banner at Joe Louis Arena

Amazing CD
author: GinaHooked the first time I heard it!!! Wow, what a great CD, his voice backed up by great musicians is excellent. I think my favorite song is Man On The Moon, but their all so good. Thanks Michael for sharing your talent, keep on singing:)
A TRUE FAN OF THE MUSIC
author: Karen ZanoniI couldn't stop listening to this cd, in my car everyday until every song was memorized... I love the lyrics ~ and Mike's voice in the right hands could be everywhere. I hope there are many more songs (albums) to come in the future.

He's got what it takes
author: Tracy Ryan ZamoryThe way these songs were arranged is proof of the talent in the artist. He has everything it takes to be a mega star. Let's make it happen! Thanks for a wonderful summer and I can't wait to do it again! I love you, little brother.
worthy of a listen
author: john posGood effort. In general, Lyrics have focus yet allow you to wander. Melodies have hook but don't drown out the other accompaniment. I found the harmonies somewhat typical but they were necessary. And it had a concrete blend of different influences~~blues, rock, a hint of bluegrass. I blieve the guitar got a little busy in sections but we all learn from putting out the project then, looking back after some time goes by. And the best part is that this effort was taken personally and it shows. MPR should be proud.
every song is my favorite

This CD is amazing. A friend recommended it to me after picking it up at his album release party and i couldn't be more impressed! Hard to believe this is not a national release! I'm big into bands like Train, MB20 etc. and this ranks right up there with the best from either band! Can't take it out of my player!!!
