  • Pensive intimate lyrics, haunting unique music
    author: Amphian

The CD has darkly contemplative and ambiguous lyrics that seem a combination of idealistic and practical. They speak of universal experiences in very personal way, and the next turn of phrase often offers new insight that alters the meaning of what has been said so far. The music is a perfect fit for the lyrics and blends vocals and instrumentals extremely well.

  • The music is dark and elegant
    author: Steve Rickman, CanEHdian.com

The music is dark and elegant, simplistic in form, and relies on the surprisingly deep character of Kent's voice to merge with lyrics that are reminiscent of a carefully-constructed, personal diary.

  • After The Ball shows off Tamara Kent in her element
    author: Christopher Eissing

After the Ball shows off Tamara Kent in her element song writing. Working with chief collaborator Neil Parfitt, the two have spun a tune that is minimal and engaging, peppered with moments and changes that keep it fresh and alluring.

  • innovative modern music filled with soul, wit, and misery.
    author: Jett Black, NocturnalMovements.net

Truly innovative modern music emanating from Toronto, (Ontario, Canada) --> MINEFIELD, at first absolutely sweet and beautiful, then enters into the darkness of soul, wit, and misery. Vocals on After the Ball confidently channeling angelic chords in reflection of soul suffering and human bondage.
