MotherLode Trio delivers emotionally honest, straight-from-the-heart folk writes the Times of London.
If you like beautiful and sophisticated folk harmonies you will love this artfully produced CD. Think The Trio albums (Emmy Lou Harris, Dolly Parton, Linda Ronstadt), The Dixie Chicks, Cry Cry Cry etc.
MotherLode Trio consists of New York-based singer-songwriters musicians and mothers: Stacy Labriola, Patti Pelican and Terry Platz.
The album features a variety of original compositions that addresses issues large and small, from the world stage to the nursery, all through the lens of motherhood. But you don't need to be a parent to appreciate their stellar vocal arrangements and blend. In perfect tune with the nation's growing interest in sophisticated alternative folk music, its styles range from country to blues to ballads, all infused with Motherlode Trio's signature harmonies.
Accompanying Motherlode Trio are some heavy hitting musicians including Cindy Cashdollar (Bob Dylan, Jorma Koukonen) Adam Rogers (Norah Jones) and Marc Shulman (Suzanne Vega) just to name a few.
MotherLode Trio has performed at venues in New York City, the Hudson Valley area and throughout New England and the Midwest including nationally acclaimed venues such as Towne Crier, The Turning Point, Bodles Opera House, The Jungle Theater, and The Clearwater Folk Festival. They have shared stages with many talented musicians such as Greg Brown, Modern Man, Lucy Kaplansky, Gandolph Murphy and the Slambovian Circus, KJ Denhart and many others.

Absolutely loved it!
author: Heather SosaThis is the best CD I have heard in a long time. These moms/singers/songwriters have the most beautiful harmony. Whether I'm feeling the blues or feeling on top of the world, this CD gets me happy! My kids love it too! I can't wait to get their next CD!
Tears, laughs and plain enjoyment
author: Patrice, Mom of threeAs you travel from Track 1 to the end of the CD you find yourself laughing, crying and just plain enjoying the music and lyrics. Each song is another reminder of what makes motherhood special. Some songs are fun and others pull at the heartstrings. The harmonies are amazing. It is a wonderful collection to listen to with your children. Mine danced their way through the entire set.
The best!
author: Mary AnneWe own a chiropractic office and play this CD all day long. People love it, the staff sing to it, and it's just right for everyone. Even my husband listens to it in his car! It's uplifting, fun, raise your spirits kind of music, with a touch of nostalgia all wrapped into one. You will laugh and cry and feel validated as a parent. I give this CD to new moms. It makes a great baby shower gift, too!
Beautiful, touching, and warm lovely harmonies.
author: Linda Kerns, Music Prof. UCLATHIS IS A LOVELY CD. THREE BEAUTIFUL VOICES THAT BLEND PERFECTLY. THE MATERIAL IS "MOM" ORIENTED, BUT SPEAKS TO THOSE THAT AREN'T MOTHERS. I'VE GIVEN IT AS GIFTS!
Motherlode delivers gold! A music and lyric bonanza!
author: Tim J. HeintzmanMotherlode is the brightest and most touching folklike music to come our way in quite a while. The harmonies are unique and seamless, the songs are poignant and personal, but speak to all of us, and the arrangements are fluid. Smart and funny, these three women are so harmonically tight it's as if they have been singing together since they were kids.
This CD is on my TOP 10 of the year! Stellar harmonies.. just makes me feel goo

author: Bob Sherman, Host of Woody's ChildrenMakes me appreciate my parents!
author: Stephanie FlomThese beautiful, funny, emotional songs make me appreciate all the parents in the world who gut-it-out and savor (all at the same time) the enormously wonderful and challenging "job" of rearing their children. Their music is fun and the harmonies are great. Super folk tunes, good background CD for parties and get-togethers.
Oh, Woman! If you're a mom and want a really satisfying cry, get into it. Thes
author: Julie HeckertEvery song on this album goes right to my heart. My children are little, so it speaks to the frustrations of these days as well as foreseeing the heartache of the separation days. I love these women. And it feels like they love me too. Just get it.
