An intense debut album by a young up and coming singer/songwriter from Louisville, Kentucky
After winning battle of the band competitions in high school, Danny’s self taught guitar skills and unique sounding voice had him playing his first professional gigs when he was 16. His career looked bright until he was struck down by leukaemia when he was 19 he eventually won this battle ten years later and returned to music with his debut album “The Transplant Tapes” written during recovery from the bone marrow transplant that saved his life.
Kyle Jester on guitar & vocals, Thomas Yearsley on bass, and Vladimir Yarovinsky on Drums. Recorded in June of 2000 at the Elector Studios with Thomas Yearsley producing. This album has a much more acoustic feel than the "Ain't No Way" record.
Americana at it's best. From quirky to tender this is a drive down a curving country road on a sunny afternoon. Fascinating stories about everyday situations and people living, laughing, hurting, and being.
Laurie's long-awaited, much anticipated solo album! Blossoms is charmingly delightful, intimate, meditative, heart-touching, evocative, funny, mournful and elegantly refined.
