NEW RAIN merges the male/female vocal experience with a very easy to listen to blend that is uniquely their own. They really are together....separately.

Gary's soulful, smoky voice, accompanied by his own locomotive style on the 12-string guitar, conjoins with Jane's powerfully pure vocals, harmonizing and consumating the sound of the sexes.

They met the summer of 1994 in Gatlinburg, Tennessee and after a few months as a duo they found themselves entertaining audiences in Spain and Scotland where they appeared in the Edinburgh Festival.

Together, their music covers many moods and genres while their diversity makes for a memorable and entertaining experience. Just exactly what you should expect.

Jane readily admits that Gary does most of the writing, but it is their collaboration that rounds it out and brings it all together. With over 100 songs to their credit, they have completed five CD's and are currently working on another.

If you should ever have the chance to see them live you will enjoy a memorable evening. But for now, just listen.

Their lyrics are strong their melodies flow and their individually destinctive voices blend like a passionate embrace. If there was such a genre as "Eclectic Acoustic", that would best describe their sound. See if you agree.

    I love the style of music. Gary's voice is still incredible after all these years and there is nothing like listening to him play his 12-string. Jane compliments him well and is truly an artist in her own right. I enjoyed her songs equally as much as I did his.

    I have been a musician for 42 years and, well, I've never heard anything like these guys. It is truly some kind of crossover style. They are equally balanced; one does not overshadow the other. I have my favorite cuts but this doesn't desparage the rest...I have really never heard anything like this before! Please, check it out and see what you think?

    Love the song writting ability of this duo for this CD.Wonderful cover and name for the CD.Reminds me of a Romance novel.I would reccomend this CD to couples who appreciate original lyrics and music.It seems to be written for couples who are in love.Two thumbs up
