notes
Pete Jones was Public Image Limited's second bass player brought in to complete the recording of 'Commercial Zone' and for live gigs August 82 - April 83 after a short spell touring with Cowboys International and was drafted into PiL by Martin Atkins, who had played with him, originally in Brian Brain. Pete left PiL before the 1983 Japanese tour, just prior to Keith Levene, owing to a mixture of home sickness and disillusionment.
As well as playing on the majority of 'Commercial Zone' he also contributes songwriting, Solitaire and most notably the Atkins / Jones collboration 'Miller-Hi-Life', but has never been properly credited. He also appears on PiL's biggest UK chart hit 'This Is Not A Love Song'.
After PiL Pete recorded EPs under the 'Jabberjab Art and Media UK' label to promote his own art. In 2000 he released a very underrated self-distributed solo album 'Twisted'. A multi-instrumentalist who writes, engineers, mixes and produces all his own works. A true solo artist, as miserable as they come, in fact...a NEUROTECHNIC. he is currently working on a new mp3 EP...Diamonds & Barricades...The tracks for which can be downloaded free from his website and previewed on Myspace. He is also in the process of collaborating with numerous musicians worldwide, such is the wonder of the web these days!!
Pete is not driven by fame, fortune or anything else connected with the media driven ego circus that is the music industry, and is content with selling his art for little or no profit to an appreciative, smaller audience.
Smile, and live life.....

Different !!
author: Sid's Ghost4 decent tracks that are interesting enough to get you thinking. Probably won't ever get the exposure it deserves but I guess Mr. Jones couldn't give a toss about that. A real mix of styles and a great title too! I shall file it under the "Cult" section
This guy is a genius!
author: Bob the RotterThis is bery much out in the experimentation section and you need to be sitting down before listening. 4 really interesting tracks that will probably never be more than a cult EP but it's the sort of stuff that moves things forward and gets you thinking. Nice one Pete Jones!!
Pete Jones rattles the nerves with a twist
author: Damien Kane4 decent tracks from the pil camp...Pete delivers a refreshing sound that although takes some getting used to is nontheless challenging. Listen to this in a dark room with headphones on and you will never sleep again!!
