notes
"Tales From The Mountaintop" is the follow up CD to "A Small Place On Planet Earth". Polaris continues to offer New Age/Classical instrumental music.
The CD title is derived from our second 'symphonic' offering, tracks 14 through 18.
This CD uses primarily "classical" instruments, except as noted below. Not a lot of acoustic guitars or mandolins on this one.
There is a Bonus Track on the CD. Our friends Aardvark joined us for a "Classical" version of their Instrumental Rock song "On The Edge of Lost and Found". The original version will appear on their 2nd CD, "Perfectly Flawed", .
All the music on this CD was recorded using a computer and virtual instruments; Native Instruments Kompakt, Native Instruments Kontakt2, and Garritan Personal Orchestra are the main software packages used.
You can also hear some of my compositions on a unique internet radio station broadcasting out of Atlanta. www.showprogramming.com offers 24/7 music from independent artists who use the software program Garritan Personal Orchestra. GPO is a virtual symphony orchestra for your computer. If you want to create music using symphonic instruments, please check out GPO & the showprogramming site.
