notes
Praise Team is a ministry of Northtown Church in Milwaukee, where the group sings for Sunday morning services. They specialize in upbeat, joyous contemporary praise music.
In recent years they have reached out with a broader ministry, singing in southeastern Wisconsin churches, in senior care facilities, and (most recently) opening for Free Indeed at their concert in Milwaukee.
According to one reviewer: "Using their well-blended voices and smooth harmonies to share their ministry, Praise Team skillfully uses traditional gospel trademarks, such as the 'single-voice echo,' as well as a cappella vocal percussion."

Excellent Christian Acappella Praise Album
author: Ken PittmanI am the editor of http://www.acadisc.com - a website dedicated to Christian acappella music - and I was given this CD as a promotional copy to review. I do several such reviews this year and I know not to get my expectations up - particularly with newer and larger groups. Northtown Church Praise Team's _Beginnings_, though, surprised me as it was well produced and the vocal quality is above average. Although it is only a 8 song album, the 8 songs are each well done and are a good mix of well-known favorites and a couple less well-known praise and worship songs. I was particularly impressed with a very well done version of Reuben Morgan's "Hear Our Praises" and Anne Herrings's "There's a Stirring." I was also glad to hear the four-part song, "Someday," recorded and arranged very well. Overall, the Praise Team did an excellent job and I look forward to future albums by the group.
