This effing rawks!
author: Rock JonnyI love this CD. I got it today, and it has been on repeat in my player since this afternoon. And I haven't found a disappointing moment, a lapse in writing or theme, it's a trip through the mind of an amazing songwriter. I bought it for the song Welcome, which is beyond definition. Most people should own a copy of this CD.
Personal lyrics, rocking soul - must have CD
author: Nancy JohnsonI bought this CD based on one song, Welcome, which was featured on Buffy the Vampire Slayer TV series. Jake Lee Rau's style calls to mind Melissa Etheridge but more down home. Best track IMHO is Empty Room but can't help but rock out to Open Road. Buy this CD, you won't be sorry!
The girl's got guts, and she's not afraid to share.
author: Leslie VanbeversI can't say enough. If you're a woman, you need to hear this CD. It will speak to you. If you're a man, give it a listen. You might learn a little something. It's honest, fresh, and unafraid. It has guts. It says the things we think but never say. Jake Lee Rau's unique vocal style blended with all that guitar make it very worthwhile. Listen to this music. You'll be hooked like me.
