Mr. Ellis has possibly written a song that stands out in one of the hardest genres, Americana Rock. I get the impression from this one song that he writes four minute novels and puts them to music. This is an American storyteller who can play. Bottom line, Cecil Cassandra could be a hit with the right marketing behind it. Rarely, do I wish that I could attend a live show for an autographed cd...but, mark my words...Rick Ellis has what it takes and I fully expect to hear about him in the future. In fact, it wouldn't surprise me to hear Cecil Cassandra on the radio one day...SOON! Nice hooks...pleasant sound...amazing words makes music in my book.
