notes
"I'm really a pretty cheerful guy," Mookerjee swears.
You wouldn't know it from these eleven songs, which range from the mournful to the melancholy. Lost people you can't recover. Souls on the edge of death, looking back over to our side. Relationships gone terribly, terribly wrong.
And yet this is feel-good music. Described as "a combination of Elvis Costello and Depeche Mode," this collection is rich in melody. It will get you humming along as its dreamy sound and intimate voice washes over you. The melodies always take an unexpected turn - listen to a few tracks and see. And the lyrics aren't just stylishly sad - they talk about the melancholy of real life.
In a time when most music you hear in public places sounds like robot-funk, blinding overproduced sheen with "sexy" lyrics - we NEED independent songwriters.
So get out your handkerchiefs and enjoy.

Don't Skip Any Tracks
author: Patricia DohertyThis is just plain good. Song are as smart as Coldplay or anyone out there, but tight with lovely melodies. There are so many gems, but: "My Secret Lover" is brilliant; "A Waiting Soul" is so haunting; "Starting From Zero" is so simple and beautiful.
