Seeing Rome at night, seeing so many colors and perfumes of a Town that will never die, with so many melodies in myself, a man ,who will love forever the Capital of the wordl: ROME.
ROBERTO SANTUCCI
Born in Cagliari on 6 October, Roberto Santucci started his musical studies at the Accademic of Music in Cagliari, taking a diplom in principal piano under the guide of Maestro Orio Buccellato.Then he specialized at Salzburg’s Mozarteum. In 1986 he was invited at the Festival of Antwerp, in Belgium and, in 1987, at the concert season of Hong Kong. Now he gives concerts and teaches music and piano in Cagliari. His first cd, with original pieces by piano, has been entitled “Tramonto rosa”. His music has been repeatedly used in many television programmes on Videolina and Sardegna Uno TV stations. He recorded music for RAI and, recently, newspapers such as Corriere della Sera, Il Messaggero, and other national and regional newspapers wrote about him. The second cd, “La leggenda di Ofelia”, written and set to music by Santucci himself, will be the subject of a short tv film. It has been played in national première at “Teatro Sette” in Rome, in Torre delle Stelle (Cagliari), in various theatres in Sardinia and all over Italy and, in January 2004, in Bruxelles (European première). On 4 March 2004 Roberto Santucci played in Rome to open the exhibition of the painter and sculptor Anna Izzo. His last recital but one took place at the Festival of Riga, in Latvia, on 10 September 2004. He was the only Italian pianist composer invited to that music festival. He played in Calcata (Viterbo, near Rome)) on 13 November 2004 and in Rome on 24 December 2005, 1 and 2 January 2006. Recently he created the soundtrack for a documentary about Villasimius, a village on the west coast of Sardinia and his first single cd, entitled “Notturno Romano”. On 8 April 2003 he recorded for RAI. In October he was invited by Canale 5 TV station, as a guest in the talk show “Maurizio Costanzo show”. His last recital, on 13 March 2006, at the Auditorium of Cagliari for the Rotary Club International, has been transmitted by RAI and other television stations. Next concerts will take place: in April in Antwerp (Belgium); in July in Florence, Siena, Calcata (Viterbo); in August in Cagliari; on 16 September 2006 in Rome at “Teatro Sette”. He is about to complete his last album “Atlantide Sommersa”, wich will be published to the public and to the press at the end of February 2006.The last Recital was in Cagliari's Auditorium (Italy)in 4th March 2006, for the Rotary Club International. On 3th of November 2006 he have recorder 2 "Video Clip" for the television, "Notturno Romano" and "Verde Profondo". The next Concert'll be in Rome on 24 Decemder 2006, and Calcata (VT), on 27 Gianuary 2007
